    Scouting services ??

We used him too. Paid for maps and pictures. Problem was his honey hole was known to others. We found 6 different deer that had been boned out front the previous couple of seasons.

California compliant 300 Win Mag loads?

We all know that shooting copper in our lovely Commiefornia is now the law. As copper is so much lighter than lead a .30 cal 200 grain traditional jacketed bullet is about the same length as a 168. If a fella is looking for speed and knockdown power think about how much case space those long...

Help with Yellowstone and Glacier vacation.

I have friends who own a motel/restaurant called Trail shop 22 miles east of the park near Wapiti. I think only open for dinner. There is some good guided river rafting around Cody.

    New Elk Gun

Late to the party here. If you can't handle the recoil of a certain caliber, your done. I would put 7mm-08 is the class of 6.5 CM. Accurate with minimal recoil. Personally I would not elk hunt with 7mm-08 unless I was shooting under 200 yds. Love my 7 mag or .375 H&H for elk.

Newer full sized pickup truck experiences?

I found my used RAM on Auto trader.com. It is a 2019 with 29k miles. Carfax said it was a rental in OK. I will never buy a new car again.

    Bird Watchers?

Bad news on our owl. Still pretty unresponsive this morning. Garbage man took him in a cat carrier. Gonna take it to a vet. I'm not very hopeful.

    Bird Watchers?

anyone know which owl this is? Northern California it seems like a young fella and doesn't seem to want to fly when crowded. It's very near a hollow tree and I'm thinking it fell out of the nest. Hoping mom comes after dark before a raccoon or fox shows up.

    Tikka 300WM Load Suggestions

I would try 180 accubonds or triple shocks as well. H1000 is a good call too. If your shooting that much are you scrubbing your bore for copper fouling? Are you also letting your barrel cool 5 minutes between shots?

    Why do you reload?

I've loaded for over 30 years now. Started because I bought a 7mm-08 and factory ammo shot like crap in that rifle. Since then it's all I do, from 22-250 up to .375 H&H and everything in between. It's satisfying to develop a load and a fun journey as well. Getting a chronograph was eye...

    Another truck thread... Ram 1500

Bought the 1500 Bighorn (2019) a few weeks ago used with 29k miles. I think I got a great deal. I was thinking used Tundra but was shocked at the mileage. The 5.7 hemi is a rocket! Glad I'm not 25 anymore, I'd probably kill myself.

    7mm08 Powders

I've loaded for 7mm08 for 30 years. I've used 115's up to 160's. My choice has been 120's but 140's are an excellent choice. H414 has been my go to. I hear Varget works well too.

Taxidermy Mounts and End of Life

I've started selling my shoulder mounts off. I put mine on Craigslist and had some interest. I did have a broker in L.A. area want to buy the entire lot of them at $200 each. Luckily I'm not hurting for money or space right now (I have them in a storage container next to my house). I'm going...
