Run them as you see fit. Just watch for them quitting. They will find a shady spot and maybe not bring a bird back. At that point, water their groin area and insides of legs. Pouring water on them will cook them like a furnace.
Imo I don't see it necessary to run 8 hours all day. Split those...
Just go elk hunting and they will be everywhere. 😆
in all seriousness, explore some country and soon youll know where and what you will look for. I enjoy hiking and getting out. You'll get on them.
Not an owner but can attest to longevity. Resort we guided at we probably put about 1000 pheasant and chukar breasts in bags of 4 or 8 birds. They use it in that capacity about most weekends. Was working overtime. It also lives in their kitchen year round.
Seems to work great
Imo unless you have boots on the ground or know the area you won't know until you arrive. If one fence has a lot more grass in density and height and the other side is barren, good sign of grazing especially with cow pies around.
Onx should be able to give you a clue as to what kind of land is...
I hunt and use the high and dry neoprene waders (wyo freezing temps), and use my earth colored stone glacier gear. I was smacking ducks all year. Geese as well.
Imo the best advice I got for the snow was a non shiny bed sheet for snowy ground. Works surprisingly well.
Sitka is nice, I run a...
Word. My 300 wby goes everywhere with me. Ol reliable has never let me down.
Shot it without a brake for years. I still don't understand the fascination with these small calibers for larger game. I don't even feel the recoil in the moment of the shot and I don't shoot bench.
I love SG synthetic layers. Just guided a big bird hunt in hot nasty weather for 4 days and it worked like a charm. Would layer a flannel over in the AM when it was brisk.
I also run hot and it's been great everywhere else
I've had that issue with my spott hogg dial. It would internally move and not lock when I shot. They fixed it asap but I've learned to mark everything with a silver sharpie
CZ makes some good budget guns. I have shot and still shot a winchester sx4. Just as reliable as spending 1100 dollars more.
It's seen heat, humidity and long waterfowl seasons. Great gun but it fits me and that's what matters
1. I think it's incorrect spine and not having true spinning arrows. For a year or so I shot weak because the chart said so. After time I went with a stiffer arrow and loaded the front up.
2. People tend to give fletched paper tuning the end all be all. For the last three setups I've...
I started with a slumberjack dead fall. Cost me 175 out the door. Took it on 6 days and it carried a bull out.
I think they make a few other packs. My wife uses that one now and it does what it's supposed to, carry things 😆
