#1 Face pressure and #2 the angle of how you're holding the release matters a lot for POI. I was trying to figure out the same problem when switching releases, so I experimented a lot and found that those two factors seem to matter the most. The 3rd factor is the release design, as the...
I shot a bull elk right at 200 yards with a 6.5 prc eld-x (lungs), and then shot it again at around 40 yards through the heart to finish it. Both bullets went through without fragmenting, so minimal spoilage. Good experience in my book

I've pretty much switched entirely to RIP TKO's, and other than price I've had no complaints at all. I haven't had any adhesion issues when using AAE max impact for inserts or AAE max bond for fletchings (although I've switched to wraps as of the past year, no issues there either). That being...
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it gets it pretty close. It's not getting a "zero" point with a wildly variable arc, but it's getting a muzzle velocity and a downrange velocity to calculate out the trajectory and estimated "BC" equivalent of the arrow. I'm sure they're not going to give away...
I hadn't read your post, I thought it was just related to not getting readings on the downrange shots. Obviously it looks like you must've gotten a bad unit or something which doesn't inspire confidence...I haven't had that experience but I totally understand where you're coming from.
Once you know how to set it up it's not difficult to use the garmin. For my downrange shots, I set an old target a yard or so in front of the garmin for some extra insurance. I end up basically aiming right at it at 90 yards, which is unnerving if you don't have something protecting it or...
I've been messing around with the Sevr 1.75s this year, I haven't noticed the blades sticking out in practice mode. They are slightly loose as others have mentioned but not bad at all. I've had great luck with these grouping out to 100 yards with my field points. Excited to potentially test...
I do that with my garmin chrono. It does work very well and I've done it a few times now.
I have ~100 yards to work with, so I get a few readings at 0 yards and a few readings at 90 yards. Print out the sight tape on a waterproof label and done.
I'm not sure if this is worth much in terms of broadheads, but one advantage of serrated edges is that they will stay sharper if they hit a hard object. Only the points will dull while the rest of the scalloped edges of the cut will remain sharp. This is one reason why a lot of steak...

It's definitely a "me" issue, no argument there. I just haven't found the perfect setup yet that I like above all else.
The longer and heavier target bars are nice sometimes with the slower pin movement, but I tend to fatigue a little quicker. A shorter and lighter bar, or no bar, is nicer...
