    7prc vs 6mm creedmoor

So poly 3 round LA “7 PRC” CIP length AICS mag (say that 10 times, ha) DOES fit in the XLR no problem. Just tested feeding, and I’d agree the spring in the poly MDT mag is light, but it fed all three rounds through a couple cycles. Needs more field use and range time to see how it holds up...

    7prc vs 6mm creedmoor

I couldn’t finish that one, it was really bad, mainly because they told all those stories about all those mags in instances where they didn’t provide effective performance. It was really incredible how they said all those things, and then immediately gave a ton of examples not supporting the...

    Elk Gun

Heard a lot of bad about Cx accuracy out of 7 PRC, in fact not sure I’ve seen any positive feedback. I’d be partial to one of the ELDs, especially with the yardages you list. Would not be concerned at all with performance.

    7prc vs 6mm creedmoor

@XLR said they look like they will work fine, but has not specifically tested the MDT 3-round polys, just got an email back from them. They were interested to hear what my experience was but mentioned that the pattern/dims all looked like they'd check out. I backordered a 7 PRC specific one...

    PVA Taperless Tikka Pre-fit weights

What kind of weight does it seem the flutes are saving in these? Currently debating if that’s worth it on a steel barrel…..

    7prc vs 6mm creedmoor

I do not 100% know that for sure, it is AICs pattern but have learned mags have a lot of variances and styles. It’s a 3.85 mag well and the mag is that length. I might drop a line to XLR today and see if they’ve tried that specific mag. They make a 7 PRC specific one and say the 300 WM...

    Calling all HVAC pros

Was going to say the same on materials/horizontal. If we’re talking high E PVC venting system, they can take a good bit of direct wind without impact to furnace ops. I see 40mph plus on the prairie and am vented to windward side of the house. Funny part was plumber refused to use a direct...

    7prc vs 6mm creedmoor

I have pretty similar reasoning - it’s a 6mm, 22 PRC is a step too far for me, ha. I’m spinning my 7 PRC barrel off but keeping it, it’s a carbon six 20” sendero. Build based on custom from last year, Lone Peak Fuzion TI action w/alpine port, TT special trigger. New barrel will be steel Ace...

    7prc vs 6mm creedmoor

For the record, building a 6 PRC cause my 7 thumps too much, and I have a custom mag bolt face, otherwise 100% with you here. I’m going to pretend like I didn’t read the sanity presented in this post though…..you HAVE got me thinking 18” over 20” now though, since suppressed.

Rokstok vs HNT 26: A Hike & Shoot Review

Thanks for taking the time to make the comparison and get some feedback in there on the rokstock, it’s hard to beat side by siding something so directly. If I’ve learned one thing from the forum it’s that experienced opinions do give you more to consider, but nothing replaces testing how...
