We've got it. Started a fresh checking account the other day for non-wife related hunting expenses. (before anyone gives me the "don't hide s*#t from your mrs" speech, she knows about it and doesn't care). Anyway, to start the account they had to check my credit, before I was finished my phone...
Its pretty specific intel, but Bill Winke is back on the world wild interweb after departing from MidWest Whitetail. That dude has forgotten more about deer than I'll ever know.
Couple weeks ago I shot a decent sized mule deer with a 200 ELD-X out of a 300WSM @ 352 yards. Perfect broad side, high lung hit. One entrance hole and 3 exits. Bullet must've busted into 3 pretty solid chunks and cleared because we didn't find any chunks of bullet worth talking about.
Kinda what I figured. Not important enough to have to stay down town anywhere, but will look around Park City. Not life altering, but nice to have the option. Thanks.
Buddy and I are road tripping from WI to east Central NV and planned to stay a night around Provo. No particular reason other than it's where we'll wind up after a certain amount of driving. Usually good 'ol Google would take care of this but I'm struggling to find a Hotel in the Provo (ish)...
I never really did until I got married. My Mrs gave me enough grief early on about getting pics me holding animals I harvested. She likes the idea of her, my kids, my potential grandkids knowing/remembering who (or should I say "what") I am when I'm gone.
Put my L4701 with a 5' RTP genisis (or 3 row JD 7000 planter) on my 24' Load Trail and run it back and forth across Wisconsin a couple times a year. Trailer is 24' long with two 7000# axles. When I was buying a few years ago there were other fancier trailers/models but for the 2 or 3 times a...
Well... there appears to be a some kind of mark inside the die. I can't fit my fat finger in it to see if it's bad enough to feel. May take a piece of the marked up brass and the die back to the place I bought it to see what they say.
Wasn't super excited about the Lee die, but the fella at the place I bought it thought they were good. Or... maybe that's just the only one he had in a 300 WSM? I'll grab some brake cleaner and give it a shot. thanks
Am a 100% reloading novice so please take it easy on me if this is a newbie question. I was running some cases through the FL sizing die and noticed that for some reason a "ring" appeared on the case. I fiddled with the die some but didn't seem to matter. Am I making some kind of rookie...
Know you live up that way, so this tip may be lame. Enjoy Kodiak. I was there this past spring and every day (as I drive my boring desk) I wish I was still there.
FREE LOADER!!! 😃 Kidding. We definitely had some great times with friends and family, so I don't want my first comment to be taken out of context. There were even some we invited every weekend we were there or we said could use it on their own as long as we knew ahead of time. The issue came...
Not necessarily specifics about a do or don't for design/building but a lesson I learned the hard way. If you move forward have very clear expectations of use of your place with family and friends. And be on the same page as your wife with those expectations.
THIS! Or even find a commercial roofing contractor. I get folks "popping in" all the time with RV roof issues. I'm not technically a supplier but have everything someone would need in my shop. When folks walk in with cash and a smile I usually get them everything they need, including install...
Have a mule deer hunt planned this fall east of Ely Nevada. The fella we're hunting with has said that it's been a good antler growing year but everything I've seen says it's been dry as hell out there all year. Anyone live that way that can give some boots on the ground intel? Thanks.
