    That and the chain from what I've read. I won't go anywhere of true distance without FlatOut in the tires, a spare heavy duty chain, a spare derailer mount and a decent small tool kit to expedite repairs.

    I"m thinking of taking my aluminum hitch rack/carrier and adding a couple of 5'-6' 4.5" aluminum channels on it for hauling these bikes. Couple of 4x4's under the channels to flush out the gap from the top rail. Then a 2x2" alum tube across the front end of the channel stock to ratchet strap...
