    Does anyone eat coyote regularly

I don’t know how hungry I’d have to be to eat coyote or wolf, given how bad they smell when skinning them.

    South Africa

Been once, but here’s my advice. Thoroughly vet the outfitter in regards to what the hunting is like. some very good places with pretty wild animals. And some places where bow hunters spend the whole time over a “water hole” that’s covered at night. Rifle rental is a good option. Some...

A lot of love for Tikka around here.

That may be because I don’t own the 308 tikka or any tikkas and they are not in my possession. The 308 tikka that I mentioned would jam frequently was borrowed for my kids to use and we haven’t used it in 5-6 years. My kids have grown up and use my rifle now. I did like the idea of the 308...

A lot of love for Tikka around here.

No the port doesn’t have anything to do with feeding but it is a crap design for fixing anything that goes wrong with feeding. It also has something to do with ejection. When rifles are built for true reliability what is done to the ejection port? I don’t know what to tell you about my tikka...

A lot of love for Tikka around here.

I’ve seen three in the field. One a 308 and two 300 wsm. My daughter killed a couple bull elk and some cows with the 308. My son a black bear. Almost every time it was cycled vigorously it would jam. With two different factory mags. A friends 300 wsm jammed while reloading to shoot a cow a...

    Rich Man's Sport

How is all this build a bigger pie working out for you? How come there are no videos on how to squeeze every last available tag east of the Mississippi? Or how to find the hidden gems back east? “There just isn’t demand for that.“ Wait I thought this was about recruitment of hunters and...

A lot of love for Tikka around here.

They are great if you like rifles that don’t feed. Jam-ikkas all the way.

    Lightweight fleece liner gloves

Not fleece but I use the cheap roping gloves for this same thing. Buy at any farm/ranch store in bulk too. Cheap enough to be disposable.

To Hoody or Not to Hoody

Hood on my down puffy and rain jacket. Also use a balaclava. Really like the hood on my down puffy, seems like it adds a lot of warmth.

    Fierce Firearms Disaster

Who would think That video would make for a good marketing tool? I like to think I’m pretty tough but I’m for sure not cut out for the Fierce Life.

    Fierce Firearms Disaster

David2Duck, Its totally normal for barrels not to have rifling. Oh wait they are called shotguns. I'm sorry to have a laugh at your expense. What a disaster. Crossing Fierce off the list. And I have a good friend with one of their rifles.

Wyoming Elk - Best Units around the Park

Probably no way to know for sure. I won’t argue the point. Posting it won’t improve his odds. Im not in competition for those tags. Burn it. I’ve just gotten a little sensitive to public discussion of units states to move to etc.

Layering options for WY elk 1st season

I wear base layers from Sierra trading post hiking pants from Costco and Walmart. Condor grid fleece from Amazon Synthetic puffy from Walmart. Roping gloves. Not very cool I know for YouTube. But the elk are scared to death of my “system I’m running.” I hate the money I spend on boots...

We do however have many millions to build a giant jackson hole type building in Cody. How many mule deer is that building going to help?

Looking for a coat for coyote hunting in North Dakota?

Sitting on a coyote stand in those temps I’m wearing a down puffy. Sometimes I carry another puffy and use it like a blanket over my legs. I just got my wife a heated vest. Idk what it’s battery life will be like but coyote hunting where you are probably back in the truck pretty often to...
