    Soft bow cases sufficient?

    If I’m driving my bow is usually not in any case. I have a string cover and pins covered, otherwise just thrown in the back seat with no problems. Soft case would be fine but I would prefer my bow in the cab regardless.

    I have both. The only benefit of the element is weight and shorter barrel for suppressing. If you aren’t worried about weight and actually want a longer barrel, the ph2 is for you. PH2 bolt is smoother cycling as well.

    If 10s and a spotter are what you have, you can absolutely just use that. Rarely do you NEED to buy some piece of gear to make a hunt. Now are 15s better than 10s for Coues hunting? 100% without a doubt.

    Sharpening Knives in the Field

    You should be able to get through an elk and anything smaller no problem without sharpening. The only thing I’ve needed touch ups on was moose, bison, or if doing more than one elk. I primarily use magnacut and s35vn knives.

    Skin it out, take it to a car wash, power wash brains/etc out. You could even get most of it out with a regular water hose.

    I'm right there with you. If I have been out there all day busting my butt and working a ridge back to the truck, see a guy "hike his butt off" just to hunt the last 2 hrs of light, I'm probably not deviating from my plan. Again, I could be wrong, wasn't there, just going off context clues...
