The only vehicle I bought new was a 2014(?) kia sorento. Gave it to the kid at around 200k miles and I think it had 240k when she traded it in for a new Seltos last year.
Paint issue on the gate the first few months(under warrantee), brakes, rotors and oil is all I ever put into it.
I have about a 4' oak stump flush cut to the ground I am trying to burn out. It's been cut for about 4 years. I have dug around it to get it air, but i build fires on it and it just scorches the top, I am not getting anywhere. Any good ideas out there before I give up?

I put a 6,500 w system as soon as I had my cabin closed in, bought it unused off FB for about $4,000 and a $1,500 battery. with a little research, did all the installation myself.
It runs everything I have so far, pellet stove, fridge, table saw, chop saw, etc. LED lights and ceiling fans...
When I owned the archery shop, we played poker with a deck taped to cardboard, some or all face down. I made them pay per shot, and best hand won the pot
With my bow on the ground, I was up in my ladder stand trying to snap off a pesky limb that was in my shooting lane. I had brought up about a ten foot stick and was whacking away at this limb. Apparently this is a very effective way to call in my target buck, about 160" to 25 yds.
anybody own one? I know there is cheap versions <$6,500 for 13.5 hsp. hows the durability? is it 650 times better than a $10 shovel?
Looking for general home use, need to dig a 100' trench, replace my driveway culvert, landscaping, etc.
Coworker saw the groundhog last week, and my wife and I saw the deer on Saturday.
We have a pocket of genetics (in the deer, not the groundhogs) so they show up every once in a while. the most in one year was 5.
I love that idea of living off your expected budget before you HAVE to. that should be taught to everyone! all the retirement calculators should give your monthly retirement income projection
My wife does not like fish a whole lot. I have a lot of walleye, perch and blugill fillets in the freezer that i would love to find a recipe for that she would appreciate. She would take a bite of friday night fish fry (cod or haddock) when I order it at a restaurant, but she will not eat home...
I agree with everything said. As I look at it, its a small amount of money to have access to a cabin on a lake and a cheap vacation spot. The only way i'd feel like I was getting screwed is if I had to continually dump money into it and the others weren't holding up their share. I like the...
All great input and much appreciated. To add more info, the major shareholder is fronting about $20,000, and the secondaries about $3,000, so not a lot of money invested. also, its in a campground with an annual fee for utilities and external maintenance like yard and driveway, so I would...
I am creating a co-op of 6 guys to buy a cabin in a campground. there will be one "major share" owner. we are setting up rules for maintenance and use. some of the things we need to organize is how to schedule weeks of use, how to handle it if someone wants out (i.e. sell their share)...
So we'd be in Angle Inlet, it looks like Jim's Corner is the spot to go through customs, like a check in point?
Do you need to get out into the main lake for fishing? thinking about my boat and a need for a bigger one :)
I have the option to buy into a cabin on Lake of the Woods, in the Angle. would be a long drive, but a cheap investment. I know the multiple boarder crossings can be an issue (think Covid) but fishing and hunting opportunities seem good. Anyone that has had hunting and fishing experience...
FInd a place to store stuff, and start shopping for the larger ticket items like cabinets and windows, outlet stores, lumber discount stores and time can be a great allie for saving money
