I also do lots of whitetail hunting in GA, so I know what you mean about temps. I have recently gotten some Sitka gear that I really like for the hiking aspect due to its breathability, but that can break the bank quickly. I am a fan of Blocker gear. Very affordable stuff, but pretty quality in...
Never been, but planning to hunt there next January. Please let me know if you see any muleys! Been e-scouting hard and found some spots that look good, but I can't make the trip to scout and would like to just know they're there. Anyways, good luck and have fun. It looks like a beautiful place!
I’m always worried about snakes here in the south, plus it’s often wet otw to my stand, so I wear lacrosse rubber snake boots. If it’s cold, I have some insulated Danner’s that I wear. Kinda clunky but great for keeping my feet warm and comfy in the treestand.
Been running in OnClouds. They fit me great and I loved them at first, until I started running long-distance and found that they aren't holding up. Going to get fitted for some new shoes within the next couple weeks, and I would suggest you do the same. Somebody else's foot may fit into Brooks...
I would just read every book/article, watch every video, and listen to every podcast you can. Take in any info you can. Then, go and apply it as much as possible so that you can form your own opinions and understand it better. I know its overwhelming starting out, but I have hunted as long as I...
Just seems like people can’t think for themselves. They have to have information spoonfed to them, and if they don’t agree with it then they just close off their minds and ignore the facts.
That is so incredible! They will never forget those experiences, and neither will you. My sweetest hunting memories are the ones I shared with my dad, and I know they will agree!
I was about to buy a tent from them…nevermind now. I’ll add them to the boycott list among nearly every other mainstream company. But hey, we get to give our support to small businesses when these guys show us their true colors
I absolutely love my V3x. No complaints, but I would shoot as many different bows as you can. Base it on your preference and feel, not what looks nicest or is trendy
I am getting a new pack soon and have been in the same boat as you. Love Exo Mtn Gear packs, but I decided that I am probably going with the SG Sky 5900. It just seems like an awesome do-it-all pack. Compresses down to 4300, goes all the way up to 8000, and normally sits at 5900. I think that’s...
Set up my old 20 ga, youth Benelli Montefeltro, with a full size stock, red dot, and considering getting a pistol grip on it but not sure yet. Super light and small, perfect turkey gun to me
