Going on a family trip to Alaska in June. Pumped about seeing the Last Frontier and catching some salmon. May try my hand at CO OTC elk if I can find the time in September, and planning an OTC hunt in AZ for Mule deer in January. Always chasing whitetails from September to January over here in...
I’m a Benchmade fan. I don’t think you can really go wrong with them. Had several of their knives for years and never had an issue with a single one. But then again, I’ve never had an Argali and I’m sure they’re great knives too.
Wish I got an FHF harness, but I went with the Nomad harness instead. Fine harness just not as good accessories and fits me a little more loosely. My brother got the FHF and its great. Shoot with my harness all the time, and have shot with his and never have issues with it interfering with the...
I have found its best (for me, bowhunting) for whitetails with a climber. Some like saddle better for less weight. Allows for mobility, but also security from being smelled or seen. Love the scenery too, and I can get up as high as I want to see as far as I want and feel is beneficial.
I can't say that the Jetstream isnt a good everyday jacket because I do not have one myself, but I personally think that it can't get much better than the Ambient for everyday wear. Warm, comfy, light, breathable, kinda water resistant, durable. Love mine
To be fair, I've always been an eastern whitetail hunter and am foreign to much of western hunting. So I found it super helpful just because it gave me a good guideline to follow, as well as a good idea of what to expect. But I agree that its not super detailed and if you already know sorta what...
Couldn't agree more! Love my Garmin Instinct, and it pretty much fully functions as a GPS if you get the Garmin Explore app on your phone. Pretty awesome watch with lots of functions, but no extra bulk or nonsense.
Dude, go for it! I want to work my way up to 100 miles within the next year but I'm gonna see how my 50 miler goes first. Pretty awesome to see the community of badass people that Hanes and Goggins have built. Hope your upcoming runs go well, and I say you go after that 100 miler!
I think it is absolutely a must have. Not just my favorite hunting layer, but my favorite piece of clothing that I have ever bought. No joke, its so comfortable, fits like a glove, as you wear it it just gets even more comfy, its so warm for its weight, super breathable, durable and even water...
I absolutely love my beretta a400. Shot everything from doves to ducks to quail to turkeys with it and never had any issues. Heck, I have even run over it and it still hasnt caused a single problem. Its not cheap, but I don't think I will have to get another one for a long, long time if ever.
