Well, we kinda have already seen it works without clickers............though I am sure someone can load even a Wheeler chamber hot enough to get clickers.....................
I hear that some on the forum think that the only way to get repeatable results in load development is to shoot multiple 5+ shot groups at 100 yds. That method can work--I won't argue that. When I was using that approach I did everything at 200 yds and it worked okay. However, let me explain...
Best to e-mail me directly (riflesatunknownmunitions.com). Even then it make take me a couple days, though I do try to answer everything in 24 hours.
We only use Alex Wheeler's reamers with the big butt to avoid clickers.
We can order them now for $450, which is our cost. They take about 10 weeks. When the reamers arrive at Whidden in a couple months, the cost will be around $280. Not sure on the lead time yet.
UM load developments discounted from $1199 to $999 until Dec 31st. Payment must be received by Dec 31st. Our load developer is none other than our smallest long-bearded gnome, @Nbowlin. Nick can post many pics of the groups he usually gets at 650 yds. Here is the info I send out on load...

BTW, I forgot to add. I would love to hear what other have experienced on this. I am always looking to expand my knowledge base and provide better information.
I have a lot of the same conversations with various people people on cartridges. Invariably someone will ask me my own opinion, which I loathe to give as I am biased toward larger cartridges. So I try to relate what I hear from others as to what they like and why. And the opinions are all...
Repeatability is the whole point of load development. For most of the load work we do, we also load ammo to the specs of the best load. Powder lots are often the same but we usually don't have an issue with powder lots. I assume that's because we go through powder so fast and order in such...

Here is a target from 6-13. I was shooting my heavy benchrest gun in a 1000 yd match. 300 WSM shooting Berger 215 HTs. I built this gun myself--chambered the barrel, fit the brake, inletted the stock, bedded the stock, and found the load. This was my first match with the rifle. 10 shots...
For a 6.5 Creed and a 140ish grain bullet, somewhere around 40 grains of H4350 or IMR 4451 with the bullet around .020" off the lands usually works. Start lower and work up on 1/2 grain increments and stop at the first sigh of pressure. After you find the best powder charge, check seating...
