I think the key to a Tikka 243 is to throat it out longer freebore to seat these long bearing bullets out the neck a ways. Creed is 1.91 trim, 243 is 2.035. So my creed loads with long heavies are around 2.860 jumping 40k, in the same throated 243, they'd be 2.985. The m+ mags will hold near... -

Zermatt Origin LA bottom metal advice
M5 oberndorf bdl with wyatts center feed mag box, or hawkins hunter dbm with hawkins prc mags(or 3rd mdt poly mags). I run the hawkins hunter setup without issue on Zermatt short and medium actions. -

They appear to be mauser-esque. Pre-fitting a mauser claw will be tough. They'll have to be perfect with the tenon thread timing every single action. Keeping headspace nominal is very doable this day and age, but keeping the starting thread at the same exact spot in timing is a challenging feat... -

Every overbore cartridge throat is going to grab carbon ring and start choking freebore diameter. I've tried the no cleaning method. It doesn't work for me. 5 barrels, all alpha reamers or well specd jgs. After 250/300 rounds I'm pulling powder to keep velocity where it was at by 150 and load... -

I have 18 20 22 6cm. Lapua brass with 108-112gr stuff , 2900-2950 isn't much of a problem from an 18in. Psi is up there I'm sure, but action and brass don't show it. Keep the throats clean every 75-100 rounds. Carbon rings are real. They develop quickly on the 22cm especially when running them... -

32oz for my painted unit. Got a Banded Carbon for the wifes rifle, it's 29oz. Paint is heavy?! Or it's different fill. Both weights are bedded with pillars. Do have a couple more on order to replace a few game warden LR and a pro hunter on rifles. Forged carbon color. -

I haven't had one to tinker with in prob 4 years, but if you install a full length Pic rail, and tighten down the front screws, is there still daylight or a gap in the rear between rail and action? The only ones that's shot well out the box was my 6.5x284. The 6.5cm was chambered off center to bore. 30 nosler was undersized chamber, once I had a smith use his long freebore reamer to clean it up, it was a lot better. I've sold em all but one. Their stuff is way to hit/miss inconsistent poor...
