Fudlore.........some the old logic is retarded. A 140 6.5 has way better sectional density and far superior BC than any 140 7mm. Past 300y the 65 is gonna over take it in all performance aspects. I've always felt the 7mm is a lil lost, too much of a tweener. 65s shoot much softer and have...
Send a 10 or 12rd mag to Justin at Kinport Peak rifles he's been chopping up aics mags for some time. You can also buy an accurate or mdt 5 Rd aics short action magazine, buy a br mag kit from primal rites and install it with some modifications. Talk to Greg at primal. The only difference...
Greg has a solid rep yes. He shouldn't need your actionback after it's first barrel. He's either not collecting/recording enough data on the first cut, or he's just old school. Likely the latter.
So you're around 2650 mv with Varget after reverse calculations on your impact velocity?
But here's a suggestion, find a new gunsmith. One barrel cut, and the smith should have the information, thread class size, headspace, thread timing, everything needed to be able to send you a barrel in the...
Mtn tracker LR has more negative comb, no heel drop, flatter toe line and a forend that's parallel to the bore. Quite different than a Game Warden 2.0, I have a few the 2.0 long range as well. This is probably the only stock I'll buy moving forward. The rokstok is quite good as well, but who...
I am running the 3port anchor end cap on my scythe so the wolf hunter is def more quiet. I still wear electronic ear pro when shooting suppressed so it's hard to tell a big difference, but there's some. The LTI is a really affective can on everything.
40-55k jump with the 88 has pretty much all been small. When I did barrel break in, I loaded 100 rds from 5k off to 50k off in groups of 10. I was really impressed to see several small 10 shot groups with minimal tweaking. Some groups were shot later so placed them in to show almost no POI...
88eldm, alpha srp 1x fired, cci450, N555 43.0gr, runs 3080-3110 from a 18" 7.5tw ace barrel. I'm going to tighten neck tension a bit next brass cycle, hopefully it'll tighten the es some and reduce vertical. I was able to get up to 3160 with 43.7gr, no pressure but out of case room, using a 12"...
So went to the range this morning. Shot 7 cold can groups, took me a bit as I gave the can at least 45 mins to cool between groups, it was 42° this morning with a variable 4-7 L to R wind. I see no cold bore/cold can variation at 100y or 400y. The 2 groups not pictured were 100y zero checks on...
I recently acquired a DD STI, LTI and Wolfhunter. I roksett in area 419 titanium hellfire mounts, and also roksett in the front caps. Also my Scythe-Ti was picked up, also 419 hellfire and installed the 3 port anchor brake. All connection glued in roksett into place.
I have been breaking in...
Temp stable powders don't get great velocity in the arc. They run lever and cfe223. High energy temp senative ball powders that give good speed. That's the problem with the arc. I honestly see the 6br or 6bra as a comparable option that runs Varget, N140, N150, 4166 at ARC or better velocity...
I have many "alpha" level scopes. 3x ZCOs, ZP5, Gen3 Razors, 7/35 atacr, and 5-25 and 7-35 tangents. The TT scopes have a fantastic image. Idk how they do it or what coatings they use, but they just cut through mirage. Some days it'll be crap conditions where I'm having to dial back...

$350, idk if CAD or USD. But be pretty simple to strip the guts out your existing bolt and install onto this unit. I'd acquire this prior to barrel fitment to avoid any headspace issues.
Ppc, not offered. Have to modify a 223 by opening on a mill, or bushing a 473 bolt. 223 would be the more desirable method in my opinion. Company out of Canada that does 223 ppc 473 535 Tikka bolts, but I don't know on importing.
SAAMI, no.......technically the chamber has no freebore. It has a long 3 degree lead or throat. I'd have a reamer specd with 0.258-0.2585 freebore diameter, 1.5 degree lead. Keep the freebore length around 0.130-0.140 and you should be good.
The 2506 holds around 65-66gr capacity, plenty of juice to run a 134 eldm at 3000fps. It also has a 0.310 long neck, 140k freebore would be plenty for the long heavies. I personally would ackley improve the case, as it gets you a boost in capacity, but also case growth upon firing is FAR less...
Wsm: Winchester short magnum. The made 300, 7mm and 270. 300 still relatively popular, 7 is dead commercially, and still some 270s around. The 300 and 270 versions held right about 80gr powder, the 7 held bout 82.
Today I was shooting a scythe ti with 3 port anchor brake, attached to a 6prc. Was also shooting a similar weight 6cm with an enticer Sti. The recoil felt near identical. The 6cm sending 108s at 2850, the prc 115s at 3000, the integrated brake makes a difference, in my experience.
