Got Dang It! I’m coming up on 6 months on my trust and 2 months on my individual. All I want for the cold bore challenge is one of my two rokstoks, one Maven, and one of my two cans to come in the mail. It’s not looking promising.
Same thing. Looks like a year for me… I got on the bandwagon early, once I heard that approvals were happening fast. Its been 6 weeks and it looks like I’m on the short bus again.
There are some benefits to UTVs but how do they compare ride-wise? The ones I’ve ridden in before are slower, with less terrain capability, less clearance, and the ride is really rough compared to a nice ATV.
We had an older Yamaha quad that burned up in a fire this week. I need to replace it, and I’m either going to get a Honda or another Yamaha. Our Yamaha was simple and bulletproof. I would like to get some recommendations, particularly on Hondas. We will use it for work around our property and...
My son needs new pants after all his outdoor pants burned up in a fire. He was wearing 28” attacks with a 32” inseam. They make 30x34s, but I’m looking for 28x34s. Does anyone know of any outdoor pants that come in 28x34?
First of all, I want to thank everyone who has reached out and offered to help. What a great bunch of guys and gals Rokslide has! For those who have offered gear, clothes, etc - it is very generous and I’m grateful. I may take you up on the offers to replace some of what was lost, but before...
I think the trailer is salvageable. The issue is the cost. The trailer isn’t covered, so I’ll probably get hit with a tow fee. The guys said the salvage fee is $260 and the storage is $40/day. Add in gas there and back, plus two new tires, wiring, and decking and it very well be a better use...
Good to know. I didn’t know that at the time and I was sure I was going to take a bullet when I was getting the trailer off. I feel a lot less heroic now!
I appreciate it. Let me see how this plays out. I make a good living, and I think there are others out there in greater need. The biggest hits are the trailer and the ATV - the former was uninsured and the latter is going to get low-balled by the insurance company.
I appreciate that… I’m going to hold onto the tag until the last minute, but it probably won’t be in the cards. The cost of the tag combined with the cost of the hunt, rental truck, gas, etc is probably going to just be a bridge too far. I’m already financially committed to a DIY AK moose hunt...
I just got off the phone with my agent.
The trailer doesn’t need to have its own separate policy, but it needs to be listed on the policy as one of the covered vehicles/etc.
A rented trailer, etc IS covered by my auto policy, but a “borrowed” trailer is not and is covered by the owners policy...
