Has anyone used the Marsupial No-Mag updated design?

It will work, but it’s not really optimal for it. The mag lid needs to be forward and barely attached. It takes a bit of deliberate attention to get it right. The bigger issue is interference with the draw when the lid is down. I ended up getting the enclosed mag design, and I’ll just keep it...

    If a 22 mag for bear defense…

Do you have a recommended practice ammo that feeds well?

    If a 22 mag for bear defense…

I can’t stomach the 5.7 prices. The 22mag is half the price, so twice the shooting practice. I’ll have to try other ammo and see if it works better.

    If a 22 mag for bear defense…

Check my above post for the symptoms. I edited to add it. The ammo was Hornady V Max 30gr.

    If a 22 mag for bear defense…

Can’t say, it wasn’t mine. The mag was a PITA to load, and I wonder if it was operator error. We tried multiple loading techniques and still had issues. The bullet would partially feed and get jammed at an upward angle on the feed ramp.

    If a 22 mag for bear defense…

I shot the 5.7 and 22WMR this week, side by side. The 22wmr was the PMR-30 and the 5.7 was the ruger. The 5.7 does have more recoil, but it’s a negligible difference for an adult. I did see a difference with my kids shooting, however. I’ll double down on what @Lawnboi said about the PMR-30 22...

    2024 co elk recaps

I’m treading water. Not gaining ground and not losing ground. I’m hoping to hunt a unit in 2 years. Hopefully by then I’ll be able to get it and then quit playing the CO game. Sort of frustrating. You would think I would be slowly gaining ground, but it isn’t happening. I’ve been one point...

Tall and skinny outdoor pants: 28x34

I found some V1 SKRE hardscrabble pants on sale. 30x34 I think. $67, it was an offer I couldn’t pass. They are okay. Legs are HUGE on him. He tried on some Keb Trousers as well 30x32 (look closer to a 33 inseam). They fit him perfectly, but they are $170 even on sale.

    Nightforce sponsors MuleyFreak

Nightforce picked Muley Freak as a brand ambassador. To me sponsorship means NF is giving free gear and/or paying MF to be a representative of the NF brand to followers and the hunting community to increase sales. NF is stamping their seal of approval on MF, saying MF represents what they value.

I just emailed their CS. I may have called them the “new Bud Light of scopes”.
