Seamaster I'm curious what you mean? They are essentially the same tag the type 4 and type 6, one is antlerless and one is cow calf. That is the only difference i can see?
Depends on your distance but since it is a muzzleloader all you would probably need is the HS main difference between the two is the HS-LR has a turet on the top to dial. I personally really like mine for my longer range set up, but if youre not having to dial then the HS will work just fine.
I would recommend Manners or McMillan. I dont know about you but after optics and bipod my howa is not the lightest thing on the mountain and for me I think the price difference on weight alone is worth the upgrade to the McMillan's or Manner's compared to B&C.
Like anything it is all going to come down to weather. A lot of the bucks in 80 and 81 stay in the thick timber in October. And since it is an earlier October tag that will most likely be the case. I hunt in the snowies a lot and that's how those bucks operate too. Obviously 80 is better because...
I would strongly recommend Unit 7. Elk are pretty nomadic but if you give it a couple of days and aren't afraid to hike you could definitely get her on one. They give out a ton of tags so do not expect to be the only guy out there. Harvest reports have been low this year because of the unusably...
Definitely tough to find that size of a boar down here in the Snowy's. Saw one last year about that size, but that is by far the biggest one that I have seen. From what I have heard your best best for finding huge bears in the lower 48 is Idaho. I have seen some monsters taken out of there, that...
What I have learned about the mule deer in Wyoming is that they migrate hard. Meaning if there is high country around then the lower foothills dominated by sagebrush will hold little to no deer until the heavier snows push them down. Even down here in south eastern Wyoming I was struggling to...
I am from Montana and currently live in Wyoming. If you're not looking for a trophy Montana is certainly better. But if you want more opportunities at 150+ deer then Wyoming is the ticket.
I have grown up in Helena and have moved to Wyoming a few years ago and will say that do not expect to find as many solid bucks in Montana as compared to Wyoming. However, that also being said I saw the biggest mule deer of my life just outside of Helena. To find good solid deer I would...
Depends on what hunt you're looking for. There are a ton of deer in this area, you can definitely find some decent bucks here and have a lot of fun. There is a very high prevalence of CWD in this area and my buddy has killed two bucks in the last two years here that have both had it. There is...
