Because if you don't clean the banish 30 it gets stuck together and being "user serviceable" is their selling point with that silencer. In reality though, it's a cost cutting measure. Its much easier, faster and cheaper for them to make threaded end caps and baffles that sit loose in the tub...
Thanks everybody, I got a few affordable ones to get started with, one is a Zink power clucker, the other one is the cheaper one from last flight (or whatever the company is called).
A few years ago I thought an ultra 5 was the ultimate silencer for a lightweight mountain rifle, I’m glad I got to try one before I bought one. I ended up buying an ultra 7.
The scythe is great too, I’ve got one of those as well and I’ve been happy enough with it.
I’d probably still buy a wolf hunter if I was looking for a silencer like that. If it did anything weird I’d send it in right away. The only problem is that if they go out of business.
I grabbed an lti because I wanted to try something from a smaller company, I already have a tbac ultra 7, SiCo scythe and a banish 30.
I guess with all these pop up companies, there’s bound to be some low quality work out there…diligent defense, resilient, rugged, griffin, etc etc….
Stone glacier is an awesome company. I called about getting a larger waist belt, they said since they had changed the design since I got my frame they would give it to me for free.
I had it in just a few days. I think all of their stuff is awesome and their service is the best.
When I bought my Tacsol I had the choice of the hogue or the magpul, I thought I’d like the hogue but the magpul has all the key mod connection points so you can put the sling or whatever in a different position. I’ll probably eventually get a magpul.
