    I don't know, I never measured it. Whatever a normal 30-06 tikka is minus ~4" for the barrel, then ad ~6 or 7" depending on which silencer I use. I think that limbsaver is probably about the same thickness as the factory pad.

    I cut my 30-06 back to 18”, I’m getting 2680 with 180g accubonds. Similar with partitions. I’ve thought about loading some Barnes 150s or something but I don’t think there’s any reason to since the accuracy is so good with accubonds and partitions. I am thinking about trying the 168g eldm...

    Let’s talk gun cases

    I used to use a Plano tactical case (similar to a pelican) with the foam completely removed, I’d use clothes and other gear to pack my rifle, optics, ammo, trekking poles etc. Now I have a larger pelican case which I use in a similar way but I havnt torn the foam out of it.

    I’d have to double check but it’s like 45.5g varget with lapua brass, I backed down from the max load of 46g because I was getting some pressure signs.

    I use klim snowmobile gloves for all my snow machine rides. I keep a pair of cabelas down mitts in my tunnel bag just in case though. Get some gloves made for snow machining, klim, fxr, 509 etc. being comfortable and getting a good grip riding is important, you’ll have plenty of time to slip...
