LOL - in all seriousness you are probably good to go with the above suggestions. The days leading up to the trip you can check the 10-day forecast and get a very rough idea of what to expect. From there you can fine tune a little more.
I am in the same boat as you. Have been looking into the SoundGear instant fits recently which seem to be the best bet in your price range. There really are a lot of options in that price range but the reviews seem hit or miss until you get into the $1,000+ range.

@co_archer I have noticed the blood sugar thing too.
I have had them since I was 11. My trigger seems to be summer and, more particularly, changes in barometric pressure around those summer storms. Still, I sometimes get the random one that comes up for no good reason at all. With that being...
I also use the magnum gobble dot - its a great sight but ive had the fiber optics fall out. Its a quick fix and truglo sells replacement fiber optic rods.

Wow - what county? I am somewhat central MD too and there are no spots anywhere near here that require reservations. But, it is MD after all. Not surprising.
Hey buddy - I commented on your public land pressure post. Im from Montgomery County MD, hunted the Virginia NF's a few times last spring during turkey season. Girlfriend just moved to Richmond and so I might be a Virginian soon. Her family is from Madison County so I am fairly familiar with...
Im a weekend warrior in Maryland and have had the same experience - outside of opening day (which I didnt hunt anyways) I have generally had the woods to myself.
My buddy pulled this from the whitetail doe he shot today. 40 yd shot with 180gr fed fusions from a .300 WM. Just thought it was a cool pic and figured I'd share.
cva accura - I would agree that breech plug matters. The only reason I am using winchesters right now is because I could not get my hands on anything else but like I said they are fine so far.
