Anyone have first hand comparison of this to the Redcliff? Looking to buy one or the other.
Will be watching Josh’s review here: https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/testing-argali-selway-6p-tent.360336/ but welcome any insight others may have.
I’ve got a set. Haven’t used them yet, but should work out great. The adjustability is nice to have and they seem pretty sturdy even though they are super light.
Durston also opened up ordering on their adjustable poles. I almost pulled the trigger on the Tarptent poles, but glad I waited for Durstons. Great adjustability and light weight. Suppose to ship in Oct..
Yeah…good luck with that. I’d love nothing more than to see Lee get the boot, but being the Mormon constitutionalist he claims to be, he’s a fan favorite here locally.

Durston released a batch of xmid 1P (Ver. 2) and 2P tents for pre-order this morning. Sold out in less than 3 mins.. Was able to get a 1P. They are doing another round of pre-orders this Thursday @ 10am EST.
Bringing this back up as it was just recommended that I get surgery to fuse my big toe due to past injury/arthritis. Looking for some folks who have gone through this and the outcome in regards to backpacking and hiking. Reading other posts, the healing process looks like it’s gonna suck.
Preface: I have high frequency hearing loss and wear Oticon hearing aids daily.
Positives I liked about the Otto’s:
The charging case is very handy and works well. I used the Ottos on a 4 day elk hunt and believe I only charged the case 1 time from a battery pack I brought with.
As recommended...
Not what I was hoping to hear. I should have mine mid next week. I also ordered the foam tips from Amazon that guys were recommending for better fit/seal.
Review pushed me to order a set as well. Been looking to buy some for the past few seasons, but hadn’t pulled the trigger. I wish I would have been more diligent about hearing protection in my younger days. Would have avoided the tinnitus, hearing loss and the $5k spent on hearing aids...
Also take a look at the Copper Spur HV UL2 Bikecamping tent. I just ordered one. The poles are shorter packed, which I think will be convenient to fit in backpack. I’ll be ditching the stuff sack it comes with for something lighter.
Pomoly is suppose to be coming out with a larger folding stove sometime this month. Waiting to see what the dimensions are. Might be the ticket for an 8 man tipi for base camp.
