As I mention in the review, there is essentially no penalty for going with the 66A in good light. The 88 still has an advantage in really low light, but it was closer than I expected.
I have been using the Outdoorsmans Gen 2 Carbon Innegra tripod and Gen 2 Pan Head this year.

Has anyone else put these premium support products to the test in the field?
What do you think?
Wow, really raised this thread from the dead!
It was interesting reading through it again, though.
As discussed in the thread, exit pupil affects brightness among binoculars of similar quality.
Of course the 10x56 SLC will be notably brighter than the 15x56 SLC. The exit pupil is much larger...
Maybe under rare, ideal conditions.
I would guess Using a remote target viewer like Target Vision would be better if the 60x isn’t enough magnification.
I tried it a few times in the field and found useable mountain conditions so rare it wasn’t worth the trouble. Super stable air (like at night) made it much more effective.
Like I mentioned in the article, I think most hunters should stick with the 60x zoom.
That article refers to fire damaged cast iron. Those temps are over 2000 deg. F.
A self-clean oven cycle temp is around 900 deg. F.
I have used this technique probably 50 times on vintage pans without issue. Of course, you need to let the clean pan cool gradually by just leaving it in the...

Yep, the Ollin was just the fastest and easiest option. The others have their advantages in some areas, but nothing is faster or easier to use than the Ollin.
When rifle hunting with buddies …
Spotter gets first refusal. I thought this was ubiquitous.
When hunting with kids …
1. If the kid spots, they shoot.
2. Otherwise spotter’s kid shoots.
3. If a kid has never punched a tag … they cut the line.
Edit:
For archery hunting:

I can digiscope photos to show distortion and field of view, as I have done before, but digiscoping isn’t a good way to compare other optical qualities like contrast and resolution.
Drawing a NR tag for a bull in MT or WY would take some luck, especially with zero points.
Since you are looking at a guided/drop camp hunt I would recommend checking out Colorado.
A little googling of drop camp reviews, followed by calling and talking to references should get you down the...
