I want to revive this thread. Looking at a 110 for elk this fall. Currently have a 45 and 70. You guys still happy with these? Still holding up? Rtic quality? Better? Worse?
Distance to the matches/ work schedule and I'd rather take vacation for hunting days. Were it to line up with my work and be within reasonable driving distance I'd do a match or two.
No idea. If you try one of the two I listed you should try it alongside the h1000. H1000 is extremely accurate with the load I have so I don't want to tinker.
I tried like hell to make it work but consistently slow for me. At like pressures h1000 had 100fps over 4831sc. I have room for powder when I hit pressure with h1000, if I were to try anything else it'd be retumbo or 570
I agree
That is quite a feat. However that is one man, and technology combined with the necessary practice makes it a possibility for many. I am not capable of it myself but that doesn't mean others arent and how they choose to hunt is up to them!
Check out Dvor. I bought a beater set of sightron sII 8x42s for leaving in the truck and I am thoroughly impressed. I can appreciate good optics and won't settle for anything less than my kowa 88 spotter. That being said, these little binos impress me alot. Especially at the discounted price of...
I'd like for a company like kuiu to copy prana with an included lightweight "belt" but one that actually holds all day. Maybe even have material with holes like their Gaiters. That'd be a win. No need for hunting pants to have an additional belt
The conditions were me thinking it felt flimsy so I gave it a squeeze with my hand no harder than you'd shake someone's...it then cracked, not a full on blown out Crack but a little hairline Crack. Stockys took it back no questions asked so the customer service was good.
If it's anything like stuff I've seen close to town it may hold a big one but you could be surprised by how much traffic it gets. Worth a shot but the public land near town that seems over looked I've hunted seems to always have someone doing something on it. Training dogs, bird hunting, small...
I guess I rarely test more than 2 bullets anyway. A good barrel typically produces good results with most bullets for me. I see what your saying though. Some guys test to death.
