    If I was hunting back east I would 100% be running 8x binos with a large FOV. (NL or Slc)

    IMO if i am going the cheap route I would say an outdoor edge or something like that with replaceable blades. I pack around a replaceable blade knife with a couple blades and also a Montana Knife

    Go look through all of the big boys before you make the decision. Some peoples eyes like brands that others eyes dont.

    IMO I would upgrade the binos then buy a cheaper spotter to get you by until you can afford a nice spotter.

    I would be going with Swaro 100% If you have the money for them then buy them. If not then buy the Mavens and wish you bought the swaros in the future.
