    Binos for my soon to be 8 year old.

    I would just go with the 8x32 just the extra FOV (94' more at 1000 yards) and Light gathering. Both will work just fine for him.

    Leica Noctivid in 12x?

    Well Noctovids have been out for quite awhile (2016).... So... i would say they wont... but who knows..... IMO just grab the NLs. If you want to stick with Leica grab the Ultravid hd 12s. They are phenomenal.

    Evolution Ibex release

    I have looked into them….. will be interested in a year or so when they work the kinks out of it. I think the looks of the finished product look very clean. Those prototypes were horrible looking. $300 it’s tough to swallow on something that doesn’t even have a video on YouTube with someone...
