These two 8th graders plus me and our sleeping bags for one night. We fit, but we didn’t fit very well. It was a little too tight to be comfortable.

I recently hunted “The Unlimiteds” for rams here in Montana. I took the Eolus and Nest even though it was later in the season (Sept. 14th - 18th) Eolus worked great and I learned a lot about the set up.
I also used it this summer even though Montana’s fire season cancelled most of my trips. I...
The footprint w/out the dual vestibules extended
A couple views with the vestibules stakes out.
Plenty of storage for me and enough to camp for 5+ days

I have a review in the works. Wanted to have a thread to discuss the Eolus with Nest. From looking over Rokslide posts, there appears to be a lot of people running this set up. Please chime in with your experiences!

Temps were 28-32° F at night
I slept in the Anchor Point bottoms. It was a fantastic way to make the cold night comfortable. On the “warmer” nights I zipped them off without leaving my sleeping bag.

They simply packed down...
I used the 10x50’s last week for 3 1/2 days looking for sheep. I found 3 rams the first day that were about 2 miles away. Glassed a 1/2 dozen goats. They were the perfect fit for me on that hunt. They weren’t so big that I dreaded carrying them 4 hours into the country and up and down the...
Thanks for the update/ I’m glad you like their Ammo.
Just a reminder that 2770 was in 6.5 through a 22” barrel.
If you can’t get a chrono on your rifle, I’d suggest you “prove it” at extended range.

I have 4 of their oatmeal breakfasts. Glad to hear you liked them. I’ll chime in after season starts and I eat some.
The shipping issue is odd. I could maybe go back and look but mine arrived in a normal amount of time. That’s a bummer for you. I hope you get them before season!!

Here’s a photo of the bino harness. I had to blow out the exposure on the photo so you can see it.
I do like the pocket for the rangefinder, but it also makes it protrude off the chest ever further.

Thanks for all the input. A couple follow ups.
Jared Bloomgren is correct (of course). The bino harness is “Yuge”. It works, but isn’t great. Vortex has improved the material they use for the side pockets on their bino-harness. It’s also more quiet than their last version. I don’t like a...
Looks like the CO2 detectors are pretty common but maybe not an issue?

Thanks for the info and thanks for sharing the pics.
Now you have me curious about the propane burners. I’ve never ran them all night. We usually use them just before bed and in the morning while we’re getting ready but that’s a good point. I had assumed the ridge holes for setting up with...
We just finished an overnight camp trip with the fam. We used the Alpacka Ranger as a dry bag and an extra raft.
6 sleeping bags
6 ground pads
3 tents
Towels and clothes etc.

I’ve been using it a lot this summer. Tossing it in the back seat and head to a small lake somewhere.
We’re using it this week on a raft trip for storage and extra seating. I’ll try to post some pics when we’re done. I’ve loved it. Super handy.

By 4 piece, I mean the paddle breaks down into 4 pieces to better fit in your pack.
So yes, you’ll have 2 pieces with paddles on the end and 2 pieces of handle.
I think we’re on the same page.

I bought a 4 piece Kokopelli paddle for $20 at the end of last season from a rental company.
My paddle knowledge is limited. So my only suggestion is a 4 piece and light weight.

If it would help... I’m working on a review for the Wall Tent Shop. I’m learning as I go. So if you have any questions hit me with them and I’ll do my best to find an answer.

This is what the down looked like after washing the Black Ovis Anchor Point.
This is what it looked like after it air dried and I tossed it in the dryer on “air fluff” with a couple tennis balls.
