I had a mix of Off Grid products in my backpack this season; entrees, breakfasts, and snacks. Here are a few of my thoughts on what I used.
The trail mix was awesome in taste and texture and super convenient to have in a hip belt pocket for quick access to calories. I really liked the small...
I've been working on load development now that the fire danger has dropped considerably. My first impressions of the Amplus 6 are very positive. It tracks perfectly with very positive clicks. I really like the zero-stop function and the ease of zeroing the turret. And the glass clarity is top...
FYI, my torso is on the shorter side at 17.5" so I have not had any issues with fit. The frame I am using is the 22" but a 24" is available for a longer torso. If you are undecided give Seek Outside a call and see what they think.
UPDATE:
I ended up using the flight for scouting day trips and some multi-day ones as well the past few months. My summer kit is really trim and light and I didn't have any problem with space or the limited weight carrying ability. With a trim sleep system and strategic food prep, I could...
I still have my factory string & cables on and they don't show any wear at all. I don't have any advice other than see your dealer and explain what is happening.
2001 was another year public lands in MT were closed due to stage 3 restrictions. When things hit that level other disciplines in land management agencies (recreation, biologists, timber staff, hydrology, engineering) are directed to fight and support fire. When that happens employees don't have...
The test scope arrived last week and I am really excited to see how it performs! I mounted it on my Lane Precision 300 RUM as a test platform. I will be working up a new load for the rifle and will get plenty of time to see how it tracks and holds zero.
First impressions are positive as it...
I'm working on the review right now. You won't have to worry about durability with these pieces unless you are inordinately rough on gear. Normal or hard use will be fine.
I’ve hardly put it to use, but the concept seems like a great idea. It seems like it will equalize any pressure on the buckle but provide for a custom fit of the belt.

I probably won’t hunt with it just because I like to carry a large load out whenever possible. It’s not any more noisy than a Cordura or X-pac bag. This will be a scouting and backpacking pack.

With spring bear season winding down and summer scouting and backpacking season coming fast, it's time to start thinking about traveling fast and efficiently in the mountains. Seek Outside just released a pack perfect for my more minimalist summer needs. I'll be using the new pack for scouting...
It’s noticeably heavier when compared side-to-side with my RX-3 but it isn’t noticeable in the field. I’ve been packing it in some rough country this spring and have not felt encumbered by it.
The integrated components don’t save weight but they do change how the weight is distributed on the...
I have both but am using a tight spot right now and really like how close it’s mounted to the riser. It attaches in the same mounting holes that a regular sight uses. The pic rail sight and the integrated rest make for a very clean setup.
