I have one and am in the process of writing a review. The built-in nest and floor are awesome when lots of insects are in play.
Stay tuned for the review.

They are warmer than the Ascent but like you mention, the thigh zip will help a ton. I think they are a good compromise for a little early season than blends into midseason.
The new fabric is tough; easily in the same league as the Mountain pant.
The 20 inch barrel of this rifle has been great while packing in the mountains and I was really curious how it would shoot suppressed. I spent an hour at the range velocity testing and checking accuracy. It gained a few FPS and it shot superb although in order to spot impacts I need to apply...
Sorry for the late reply as I’ve been offline for a while…
I used these in temps ranging between 40 to 80 degrees. They are perfect for September in the mountains and wouldn’t be concerned to use them into the 20’s especially with a base layer. They are a well rounded pant.

I have not used anything else as I have a case of it on hand and it shoots great. For most of my rifles I handload to optimize accuracy and velocity and there is little doubt this rifle would shoot tighter groups with handloads.
For curiosity's sake, I may look in the local gun shop to see if...
The rifle has been getting hauled around in the mountains this spring looking for bears. The short barrel has been awesome while strapped to my pack. Tomorrow is another range day to see if anything has changed since my initial set up and testing. Up to this point I have been extremely pleased...

I've been sleeping on some wet ground this spring and the floor has helped keep the condensation minimized. If you are planning on using it a lot in similar conditions it could be worth it.
Both ends of the floor that face the doors are flat. The opposing sides have a short bathtub style wall.
This spring I've been field testing the Solitude 4 tipi from Peax Equipment. It's a single pole / single wall shelter with a stove jack, two doors, ten stake loops, ten guy-out points, and an optional floor. As a new shelter to the market it has generated a few questions in the Sleep Systems...
The size and shape of this knife is perfect for what I want in my kill kit. I'll add more thoughts after it gets a little more use.

That was the other rifle available for testing but the Crest was very intriguing. The Ridge Carbon ticks a lot of boxes as a great mountain rifle. Let us know how it performs for you.
