When Leica announced the new Geovid Pro 32 range finding binocular this winter I was eager to compare them to my trusted HD-B binocular. I was curious how they compare in size, weight, and optical performance as well as ranger finder performance. Currently I have a 10x test model in possession...
Sorry for the delay on this review as testing was "paused" for while until I could get another optic in hand. Last week a test scope arrived and I had it mounted without delay. Everything is dialed and ready for spring bear and some range time!
For those who are still curious about this scope...
I’m not an expert in what a turkey vest consists of but this is more than a vest. It’s basically a backpack with a modified harness for calls and such. The design seems solid and very utilitarian. I can see the turkey hunters who use one falling in love with it.

A front or rear mule deer quarter would easily fit and probably a front shoulder of an elk. The issue would be a lack of an internal load shelf which would keep the load riding higher in the pack. Otherwise I think something that dense wouldn’t be comfortable if it was in the bottom of the pack...
This was a review that slipped through the cracks last year and did not get finished before hunting season. That's why you can't find the full review. But in a nutshell, the Dew Point is a solid lightweight option. It goes in my pack on every hunt unless the forecast is torrential rain lasting...
I got a chance to use the Equinox Guard Hoody and Pant last spring bear season. If you hate ticks you’ll love these pieces.
The built-in gaiter keeps them from crawling up the pant leg and the insect shield works really well. I wore them all spring and didn’t have a tick on me. Normally it’s...
You left out that they are on the Pursuit Channel and WildTV....so maybe its a little more commercial than sharing a few YouTube videos with subscribers.
There no one wanting this completed more than myself. It’s a horrible feeling seeing this review in its incomplete form.
I talked to the marketing contact this past weekend at the expo and he promised to get a scope back into my hands as soon as possible. When he does, my first priority is to...
I did, but thinking I would get a test scope returned quickly didn't write that information down. So.....Just going off memory, with a 200 yard zero, I would get around 75 MOA of travel until it bottomed out. This would get me to 1700 yards with a rifle with a 20 MOA base built into the action...
They got the illumination right with this scope. The dimmest setting works great in very low light and is easily turned on with one click forward or backward. There are plenty of brightness settings for almost any lighting.
Like I mentioned above, Once I get another test scope mounted up I’ll...
I think it would fit if you are really careful with the pitch of the shelter (no sag on the stove side) and careful with the stove placement. There shouldn't be an issue with the pole. @Superdoo is spot on with the Cub and the amount of heat it will produce. A medium will be a lot of stove for...
I don't think the taste of the instant is much different than Via, but taste is subjective and situational. For me, there is an inverse relationship of my coffee snobbery to the distance and time in the backcountry......And the three in the photo above have provided me plenty of comfort in the...
I always keep coffee and a spare stove in one of my Yeti Loadout boxes in the truck for a little treat when I stumble out of the brush. These sample packs have been awesome for pour-over cups and the tea-bag style will make it in the box as well.
The little sticks of instant will be a major...
Long Term Update:
I just finished up season #2 with this shelter and can vouch for its long term durability. It's been through some very rough weather this year and I am very pleased with it's performance. The last trip out was cold with blowing and drifting snow. I noticed a small draft along...
Right now I am waiting for a scope to be returned for some further tests. The demo I had was needed for an event elsewhere so it was sent back. It’s unfortunate I didn’t get to put it through the paces of a rough MT rifle season. When the scope comes in I’ll make sure to run it through my...
