Yes. & lightweight in comparison to many other autoloaders! Mine serves as a turkey/coyote/waterfowl gun and same experience. Zero issues. Franchi 48AL is my upland gun & it is just as dependable.
People sleeping on this shotgun. I’m on my second as my first was stolen out of my pickup years ago. My dad has a 20 & a 12. They’re just all around solid. Wood stock looks sharp too
I currently have no intentions of going to a different company for meals but my biggest frustration is ordering something that says it contains 39g protein & only receiving 31. This is more of a distributor mess up because they haven’t updated the product details.
I can’t find a similar company...
Here’s the response from Peak. Doesn’t seem to be a reduction across the board but still paying the same for less just rubs me the wrong way. But hey that’s business, buy it or don’t.
Has anyone else noticed a decrease in serving size from Peak refuel meals? Noticed today an older breakfast skillet packet (exp. 11/2027) has exactly 25.7% more in it than a newer package (exp. 12/2028).
All distributors still have the nutrition facts of the larger portion on their websites but...
I’d also suggest looking at qad Exodus. There’s a reason it’s one of the most popular broadheads among roksliders. Extremely durable, very sharp out of box, easy to get to fly very well, 1 7/8” total cutting surface, affordable, & you can easily replace the blades.
I shot 2 mature deer last year with the same QAD Exodus 100gr and plan on killing a few more with the same head this year. Reason I switched from NAP Spitfire XX to Exodus is simply durability, affordability & penetration plus I wanted to get away from mechanicals.
The spitfires killed every...
This is good info. Being a whitetail guy I pay a lot of attention to water for early season. But I look at some of these rocky cliffs mulies live in and think “no way they’re in that stuff”. But sure enough they’re there!
This will be an early September hunt but that’s a good plan. Start high and work down. But just because there’s a 11k mountain doesn’t mean youaren’t going to find the deer in a canyon half a mile away @9k feet, correct?
My reason for asking is on my scouting trip I was around 10k and a buddy...
Understood, unfortunately can’t get above timberline in this unit. Just trying to get a good game plan on when it’s best to be glassing from specific spots I’ve recently scouted.
Alright guys probably a dumb question for more experienced mulie hunters. Unit is from around 6k to 10.5k ft with a few mountains getting up to 11.5k. Early September are you focusing most on those highest peaks or is it alright to focus on the 9k-10k ft range too? Also my experience glassing...
Okay but since we’ve all gathered here to discuss Peak… what do y’all suggest?
I’m looking at creamy peaches & oats, biscuits & gravy, & maybe the breakfast skillet for breakfast meals.
Chicken Alfredo, cheesy chicken & broccoli, sweet pork & rice, & maybe beef pasta for dinner…
Y’all already...
