Went out with my niece and brother yesterday. She caught her first halibut, reeled it up from 80fow all by herself.

Paddled out Friday morning and caught this Barred Sand Bass, pretty unusual for the Monterey Bay, more of a Southern California/Mexico fish. Cooked up great, got some really nice fat fillets off, firm. 10/10 would recommend.

Yeah…I do realize that, and I agree w what you’re saying, my point was that a small business like mine or yours is less likely to be disingenuous, a lot more difficult when word of mouth about your practices can get around. Obviously humans screw capitalism up, we created it, the immoral use it...
That’s a nice halibut! Someone brought a Pacific Halibut into the Santa Cruz harbor a couple weeks ago, they were fishing deep.

Right on, thanks. I picked up a four pack, figured if they fall short on performing I’ll send them back. Have good cell service in an area I’ve been scouting so I can place one at 4 different water holes, see when the pigs come around.

Anyone have any experience with these? Freedomusasales.com has a sale/bundle deal for a 4 pack ~$300 for 4 cams and SD cards. Seems like a good deal to me but I know little to nothing about them.

Looks like a great time, I don’t mind snakes and spiders as long as I see them first. I was going to ask about Crocodiles too, those will sneak up on you and eat you like a bear, would be incredible to see one in person in the wild. Thanks much for the pictures and stories. Someday I’ll make it...
Fantastic pictures! Thanks for sharing those, what part of Australia are you hunting? Do you have to contend with massive spiders and snakes?

I was Turkey hunting recently, I’d gotten to the trailhead at night, started walking in the dark with no one in sight, just the way I like it. So I was well down the trail on my way to a creek I’ve been to quite a few times, I had stopped cause I thought I heard something weird when out of no...
Chokes me up knowing what they did so we could enjoy the lives we lead today, eternally grateful to those who’ve served.

It’s really fun, so rewarding to be able to harvest fish and squid from the ocean to take home. Always stoked to see people like yourself out there catching salmon. I’m trying to plan a trip to the Rogue, Klamath and Smith rivers to fly fish steelhead next time I’m coming home from Montana...
No, I’m not a communist. Hard to believe morals and ethics exist in any government. Good individuals are moral and ethical, mom and pop small businesses in a community, large entities making money or rules most likely are not at some level.
