The spotter bug is getting me

Would you recommend a newbie to western hunting get a $800ish bino or a $300 bino and $500 spotter? I was originally planning on going the latter route but seeing people like you talking about how spotters aren't all that necessary makes me think twice about it.

What specifically about the BT makes you want to go back to the Marshall? Also curious about how well the Marshall compresses for shorter day-excursions when you've unloaded some stuff at camp.

I hear MR packs have more organization pockets compared to SG, do you usually like more organized packs? Did you find that the organization still left enough room for you to do your own organization? (like with dry bags or organizing by kits) I've been seriously considering the Marshall but...
