Idaho unit 67 ATV trail clarification

On go hunt insider for this unit, it says that ATVs during hunting seasons are restricted to roads that are open to full size motor vehicles. On onX maps, there are some MVUM trails that say open to vehicles of 50" wide or less year long. I can't decipher if they're open or not during hunting...

That had to be scary! Thanks for the heads up! Would you recommend keeping everything in a vehicle? Or keep food and such a few hundred yards from where you camp?

questions about optics for first time western hunt

agreed with that! I'm not willing to dish out a couple thousand on a set of binos, The more I've been looking at maps, a lot of the places we might be glassing are 1.5 miles or less, so I think i'm going to stick with what I have and buy a nice tripod for them.

questions about optics for first time western hunt

I plan on going back, but I start chiropractic school in Kansas City this May so I’ll be 4 hours further east of where I am now so I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it out the next 3 years. I think I’m going to get a tripod and go out and do some scouting around here and see what I think...

questions about optics for first time western hunt

How far can you pick up animals with your binos? I've never been to the area I plan on hunting so I don't really know how far i'll be glassing. Im expecting it to be quite the learning experience.

questions about optics for first time western hunt

I really like them! I had a pair of bushnell binos before, not sure on the model, but it was a big upgrade! They are great in low light, which is great becuase most of the deer I'm seeing here in Kansas are around sunrise and sunset. They have really clear glass, most of the time i'm not...

questions about optics for first time western hunt

I'm not too hung up on the size, just having the opportunity to kill a buck at all our first time out west would be awesome. Also just looking forward to exploring some new country with a couple buddies for the first time, I think if we can locate a few deer and see some new country, I won't be...
