As the title says I am looking at selling my Sitka Fanatic jacket and buying a Heater Body Suit.
I hunt 120 acres in Northwest PA and I get cold easily, so I wanted to go with something that would keep me warm to hunt long days through late season. Late season and hunting in the snow is my...
I will toss in a vote for alpaca socks. I have 6 pair of the Paca brand, as well as a pair of local alpaca socks and they are soft, warm, compare to wool for moisture wicking, and functional. Going to wait a few years before commenting on durability.
If you want to stick with Merino then you...
Fair enough, I could see how that could be a much bigger issue on multi-day trips especially.
I've never had a major issue with them being too loud, maybe it depends where they stick to.
I was very curious about them as well, but it seems finding reviews on their stuff is about impossible. May just be that they are so new and relatively unknown.
I am very interested in the Coldfjall Bibs to match with my Sitka Fanatic jacket for late season (I get cold easily), but I'm hesitant...
I agree with a lot of this. I'd say I'm a fanboy, I've gotten several pieces at this point and love them all, but I do see some of the limitations. As someone who gets cold easily and lives in a place that gets cold late season I decided to bite the bullet and get a Sitka fanatic jacket for when...

I don't know, I figure every company starts out new at some point.
I dont know about everyone else but I saw great reviews for one of their items, bought it, was extremely happy with the item and the customer service and I've been hooked since buying new items one by one.
I'd say the price is...
Agreed.
I love my barnburner and Head Guide hoodie. I layer mine and I'm easily comfortable in the 20s with those and the fleece bibs.
I know they're marketed to wing shooters but I use my stuff for everything
I dont know. Camo can be more expensive, but it isn't much. For example, some of the pieces I have from some companies are $5-10 more just because they're camo as opposed to the same piece in brown or grey.
From an email from the company:
"Our manufacturers are chosen based on who can produce the best product with the materials we want to use. We look at the USA first for factories and found one with our bamboo product. But our shirts and pants are split between China and Guatemala."
