I love it. But full disclosure I have an unhealthy love of wool sweaters.
It's not light and it's not cheap. Let's get that out of the way.
What it is, is thick, warm, and wind resistant but breathable. It's also naturally quiet and I feel the natural wool fabric blends in well. What I really...
It really depends on the weather, terrain, etc but I guess I'll give my standard Rut to Late Season system.
Baselayer - Aclima Woolnets, top and bottom.
Midlayer Top(s)- Appalachian Gear Company All-Paca Crew + Woolpower 400 Vest
Midlayer Bottom(s) - Arms of Andes Alpaca Bottoms + Duck Camp...
See the letters above the red line? That is normal human vision (20/20).
Normal deer vision is closer to line 2.
If you don't move and they don't smell or hear you, and you don't silhouette yourself you can get very close to deer in Earth tone solids or even red and plaids.
Deer have low visual acuity so I'd say even at 10-30 yards solids are fine, particularly if you wear different colored light or dark tops and bottoms, hats, gloves, bino harness, etc that break up your outline.
I haven't had any less luck bowhunting since switching to solids and plaid. I...
I can't complain with Darn Tough, they do their job and they last forever, but I have a few I feel are just a little better for warmth, comfort, and moisture management than my Darn Tough.
For Sale:

You've probably already fixed this....but I'm going to give my two cents anyway. Maybe it will help someone else.
I live in NW PA and what I would say (and this is probably going to sound weird) is get yourself Aclima Woolnet baselayers and an Appalachian Gear Company All-Paca Crewneck long...
I love the Powder Hoodie...just a little disappointed the amount of polyester in it. Wish the % of wool was higher for the price.
Cannot complain with the warmth and comfort though.
I have the jogger sweats. Yeah, they're expensive but you'd be hard pressed to find a quality garment made from 95%+ merino wool for considerably cheaper. Icebreaker, Ibex, Woolx, etc comparable pants are in the $130-$180 range.
The trick is to shop the sales. I got mine for 30% off.
Where do you guys buy the Aclima stuff in the U.S.
I looked on the website and it was going to be 30 euros shipping. Brynje USA offered free shipping. Might tip the scales in their favor even though I prefer the look of the Aclima.
Honestly, if you want to do ASAT just get the leafy suit and wear it over whatever you would normally wear. You get the best of both worlds.
It's been probably a decade now, but the quality of the ASAT clothing back when I bought some was....not up to par with other options.
Which is a shame...
They have the Powder Hoodie available in the Spruce color now and damn I'm tempted. I love my grey powder hoodie and I love the spruce color.
But I have other stuff I need to save the money for more 😢
