Doesn't look much different than a million other shades of brown out there :P
That said, I do prefer my brown a little lighter (medium)...its a little dark for my tastes.
What materials? Their big thing is that they raise their own wool. They probably might import the nylon or polyester they use with the wool as thread, or to make the wool fabrics, or the shell for their woolcloud items.
Duckworth is 100% American made as far as I am aware and makes some quality products. A little pricey, but worth it if you really want to support American products.
Looking at the Marsupial and SG.
Any defining qualities or priorities I should consider when choosing one over the other?
Currently thinking the Marsupial since it's a bit cheaper and everyone seems to like it.
I grew up on a farm (horse farm by that time) and my grandparents on both sides had farms. Dairy on my mother's side, beef on my father's side. I live within a mile of 5 different dairy farms. I live and have lived most of my life in a rural community. I grew up baling hay, shoveling manure...
1. I agree much better than solar fields, which is why I said "not to the same degree".
2. Growing big bucks because of food availability is a very limited definition of *great* for "wildlife".
Is it great for the literal quadrillion of insects killed by pesticides? Is it great for the fish...
Cropland is also not great for wildlife to be honest. Yes, it does provide food, but massive crop monoculture causes a lot of environmental issues too.
Again, not to the same degree, but its it's there.
Everything we do as humans effects the environment. I'd love if we could re-wild most of...
Agreed 100%.
To be clear, I'm not defending solar. And it they are going to do solar why not outfit it on the roofs of buildings that are already there to minimize wildlife impact? Pretty much everything comes down to money.
It's a complex issue, no easy answers but I agree it's the shame the...
These are coal mines in Wyoming. That doesn't look like wildlife habitat to me. I don't know that I believe harvesting fossil fuels has minimal wildlife impact.
But I am not looking to start a big argument. It is what it is. Every method of energy creation has side effects and consequences...
Not to be that guy but coal mines and oil refineries aren't exactly great for hunting or wildlife either.
I totally agree that it sucks, but people want cars and electricity and everything else and that requires some kind of energy to be harvested. That is never a zero impact operation.
I...
