    Duck Camp Camo

The bamboo hoodies are really comfortable and soft I love mine for fishing or everyday casual. I wear mine all the time and will probably get another. I would use it for hunting if it was a half zip but until then it won’t replace my Sitka LW core hoodie during early season

    Duck Camp Camo

I have one of their bamboo hoodies and the Head Guide Fleece hoodie. Just a couple midlayers underneath that hoodie I hunted down to 10 degrees duck hunting in Arkansas. Really comfortable and warm with a softshell 2 way stretch outer layer so it is pretty durable. Pockets are convenient as well...

    The morality of poaching

I hate poachers that take animals for the trophy/ greed aspect but I had a good conversation with my Dad during the meat shortage in the grocery stores during the beginning of the Covid lockdown. We only take a couple deer a year and did not foresee anything like that happening. Our property is...

    Backpacking travel rod suggestions?

Medium is pretty versatile at least you should be fine. I always go 7' or more if I'm offshore fishing but if you are on a bank or a tight stream the shorter rods are nice. Don't have to worry about hitting branches or brush in your backcast. Learned that lesson the hard way when you go back to...

    Backpacking travel rod suggestions?

I started with the medium light to throw weightless plastics and it handled strong smallmouth up to 3 pounds just fine flipping them up onto the banks even though I wouldn't condone that if you could avoid that. Then got the medium to throw bigger baits. Trout fishing streams with rooster tails...

    Backpacking travel rod suggestions?

https://stcroixrods.com/products/triumph%c2%ae-travel-spinning-rods-2020 I have three of these two spinning rods and a baitcasting one. The two spinning rods are about 10 years old now and I used them almost everyday for 4 years when I was in college. Never had durability issues catching river...

    S. Dakota tag opportunities?

Please don't blow up SD I plan to move there eventually. By the way it can get really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter. Also windy pretty much all the time so I would advise not even bothering looking

Anyone ever had airline lose a gun?!

This was about 15 years ago and they used to come out on the carousel. Haven't flown with a firearm since so its probably different now. But I am in the same boat right now going to Alaska in May and not sure if I should case my sidearm separately or put it in my bow case.

Anyone ever had airline lose a gun?!

Yes flying from Texas to Chicago with 2 rifles in a hard case. Only thing that didn't show up. They ended up tracking it down in Vegas. Was a long night waiting for them to show up the next morning. We just pictured a gun case going around the turnstile at baggage claim in one of the busiest...

What the heck do I do with a goose?

Breast them out and cut into cubes. Marinate in cheap tequila. Then tooth pick it with a slice of jalapeno, a slice of water chestnut and bacon wrap the entire thing. Grill until medium rare

One item you wish you carried sooner?

Empty smart water bottle or any 1L bottle that a sawyer squeeze will fit onto. Much easier to fill up than the bag it comes with and a bigger capacity. Cuts down the time for filtering water in half for refilling my water bladder

    2021 Gear Performance

SKRE Uinta early season pants absolutely exceeded my expectations spot and stalk antelope hunting this year. Extremely light weight with hip zips and after crawling around through cactus and rock all week wearing no knee pads, did not have a single thread pull or scratch on them. Definitely...

    First Western Hunt: Layering Advice

Like already mentioned the Peleton 240 is very good in wind. Verified that again when I got my 240 bloody on Saturday and used my softshell as my outer layer for the rest of the day. Noticed the wind got to me much more than earlier. Not sure where a softshell fits in my system other than for...
