    7mm rem mag powder

Never did try any other powder either due to local availability but I wouldnt have anyway with the great results I got with IMR7828.

    223 Loads

Depending on platform/OAL varget, aa2520, imr8208xbr, SW Precision rifle, winchester staball match has about replaced 8208 for me. There are actually a lot of available good powders for 223/556 and 77s. If in an ar15 with OAL restrictions, aa2520 and staball match are my go to.

    Fiocchi primers?

I dont think there is a primer I would refuse to buy this day and age if the price is right. Sellier and bellot is another good one you may run into that isnt common. My best 6-223 loads came from imr8208xbr and a S&B primer.

    Fiocchi primers?

Ive loaded some 223 with the Fiocchi SRP I have. No issues or anything. Couldnt tell a difference between the other primers I use. Fiocchi makes excellent ammo. I would expect their primers to be good too.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Try winchester staball match. Ive only tested 100 or so rounds so nowhere near enough to throw my aa2520 and imr8208xbr loads out yet but things are promising. Im shooting the 77TMK at 2.30 oal from an 18" barrel with average velocity a little over 2700fps. Accuracy is on par with 8208 but not...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

The precision rifle media podcast june 29th of this year had Brent the owner of creedmoor sports on. I suggest listening to it but yes they are sierra bullets repackaged. Not seconds, he claims they are just repackaged.

    Hornady XTP

Surprised you recovered it. Ive never recovered any bullet fired from my 44 mag rifle except for a 300gr xtp that did not expand. Shot a doe in the chest facing me and found it near the pelvis. Looked like your bullet did a fantastic job though. What was the distance?

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Simply a guess but I'd imagine they added the extra step as you put it for reliability in detachable box magazine fed guns. The crimp will hold the bullet in place under recoil as well as neutralize the forward inertia of the bullet as an automatic bolt slams the cartridge into battery. I shoot...

What are you using in your tumbler for high polish brass?

I like to see my reflection on the inside of the case. Kidding. Truth is a wipe down with a paper towel is enough for reloading. Barring any mud or other foreign material. I like a clean case to cut down on junk in my dies. Which vibratory tumblers and corn cob/walnut always seem to leave...

What are you using in your tumbler for high polish brass?

You could use s vibratory tumbler with a bit of nu finish mixed into the media and let it tumble for a while. Wont be as good as a wet tumble in my opinion though.

What are you using in your tumbler for high polish brass?

Basically the same as everyone else so far. Ss pins, harbor freight tumbler, dawn and a touch of lemishine.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

For factory ammo it looks like black hills and aac are the most popular but I think most are reloading

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

If you read the 238 pages you might make 223 and a 77gr tmk your new go to for deer.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Thats the charge weight I currently use. Ive won a few of my local 300yd ar15 matches with it.
