Finally got to the range today to run some tests with this theory. Thing to note on the data, all the no lube strings showed the same pressure signs (heavy bolt/extractor/ejector marks) that I have been seeing for awhile now. The lubed necks made those pressure signs disappear. Makes me think I...
Barnes does state on their site that they do not have to be in the case mouth, nor does the case mouth have to be off a groove. Could be halfway over a groove and be ok.
I’m 6’0” 180lbs and it fits me perfectly. It does have an athletic cut to it. Has enough room for normal layers (merino top, synthetic pullover, and maybe a light puffy vest), but I wouldn’t put a heavy puffy under it.
Cleaning out some gear that I recently upgraded out of, and recently changed pattern on all me Skre gear to the Summit. I purchased this Hardscrabble jacket in May of 2018 for Colorado Elk and wore it a total of 5 days in Colorado and 3 days in Texas. No observable damage.

Finally got a chance to get out and perform my velocity ladder. Was able to borrow a Magnetospeed to get the chrono data. These are all loaded to mag length for a Tikka T3X (2.91 COAL).

Update:
Talked to Barnes, and they recommended splitting the difference in load data between the 168gr TTSX and 180gr TTSX. Looks like I have my starting point now. Will update as I get some load data collected.
Yes, I am able to spot pressure signs. I have researched enough about bolt guns, discussed with family who reloads, and have personally dealt with pressure signs on my AR rifles when dealing with my first suppressor and adjustable gas block.
Barnes does list another 175gr bullet in their load...
Finally assembled all of my reloading equip, and have gotten to the point that I am ready to start dropping powder. The problem I am running into is that different manuals all have different max loads. Below are the specifics with what I am working with:
Powder: H4350
Primer: WLGRM

It has definitely puffed up after hanging for a week or so. Had a chance to wear it to work in temps right at freezing, and it was crazy warm. Most of the time spent outside is just standing and observing, so it did the job well. Really liking this jacket!
