    WTB Kifaru Rambler Rifle

I’ve read many different opinions of this lightweight hunting system. The most thought provoking claimed “The Rambling rifle offers a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.” This Rambling Kifaru designed sparked my imagination since I learned of its production. I bought it to see it up...

Most unusual thing you've seen in the woods

There was a plastic gas can at the crash site though there were teeth marks that had punctured it. Bears and coyotes like to test chew plastic items discarded or lost. The crash site I’d only heard the flight plan was to stay in Oregon. (Land on a Mt Hood glacier fill tank with gas in jug. )...

My parents were hunting the area for the first time in two years. They were camped in their van for the weekend hunt. They were hunting separately but after the first day they’d both seem the crash sight at different times. Saturday late afternoon they drove to the nearest town and called...

What is the most user friendly trail cam?

is there a trail cam that has a simple system for viewing. Perhaps a screen on the trallcam itself? Or maybe on the Will transfer wireless to an iPad. Good battery use, clear images and quality lenses are important but not the highest priority

Most unusual thing you've seen in the woods

Found a Two Man ultralight plane crashed nose down. It was in the early 90’s. Passenger and pilot perished. They went missing two years earlier. Have some photos of the plane. Oddly the passenger had the same last name as me. It happened in a wilderness area in Western Oregon. Old growth...

    An encounter that was scary

Sounds like it Could’ve been a score of wolves one human zero. A less experienced archer might’ve been carrying a handgun. At least that might’ve scared the pack away. Enough speculation. Congratulations are in order for years to come.

A couple of blacktails chasing around a bobcat.? That is one for the record books. What a cool thing to have witnessed.

    Is Camo necessary?

I disagree…. It is an asset that can compensate for an unfavorable wind, motion, sounds, or a calf elk getting spooked. Getting the right camouflage for the duration of a days travel seems impossible. Hunting birds I think it’s Super necessary. (I try not to believe everything I think)

    What's Your Non-Truck Hunting Rig?

For the longest history of non pickup hunting I drove a 1970 VW van. I bought it used and It came with a NRA sticker on one window. Which gave me some grief in at the Canadian border crossing. I sold it after switching up to a mule for packing out. I’m sure it was covered with Grateful Dead...
