Yeah. The 10s logically fit me most. buck hunting, shed hunting, archery and rifle. However the talk about the 12’s has me curious! Do you have any experience in the EL 10s vs NL 10s? Gaining much for the $1,200 price tag? Sounds like the EL 12s and NL 12s perform optically very close.
Thanks man. I appreciate you being willing to answer my questions. I have always used 10xs, but as my eyes deteriorate (and it’s happening fast, even tho I’m young) I’ve realized I’m quite shaky.
So I worry that a pair of 12x will be impossible. But everybody here says that the 12 NLS are the...
@Turkeygetpwnd38 Its me again. Lol. I hear that the 12's are so remarkable, but I cant get past the thought that I cant freehand them. I do think they would be the best tripod glass; but im shaky with 10's at best, and there are times where I need to freehand. What do you do when you need to...
I’ve used mine extensively since WHCE, it does great with my 65 swaro. However I’ve noticed that the thumb screw that tightens the bar to your arca plate loosens. So my scope has slipped off and almost hit the dirt a few times when hand carrying.
Well done Travis. Thanks for doing this. It sure is changing the way I'm thinking about our mule deer outlook. It kills me to know that so many sportsmen are still in the dark about mule deer management. although the 23' winter was awful, I found myself quite excited to see what type of research...
I dont know why but skittles have become a staple for me! I usually do them with cashews and gummy bears... but after a few days in the cold the gummy bears will work your jaw. I think I am just going to swap them out for swedish fish this year.
Thank you so much. I will be coming back to look at details as I put things together. I am jumping into my first alpha glass. My setup will likely be a 10x42 - ELs or 10x40 Zeiss SFL (not really considered alpha glass, but seems to be very high quality.) then Swarovski’ ATS 65 or 80.
right now...
@Turkeygetpwnd38 @Cynoscion thanks a bunch fellas.
@Turkeygetpwnd38 — let’s see your glass setup. Seeing how you are very detail oriented I’d love to see what you have setup in a similar fashion as this forum
Good to know. I may give it a try this season. Those RRS tripods look nice. Never put hands on one, just can’t seem to get over the weight penalty. I have a Siri 2204 and I feel that thing is sturdy enough for the heaviest of spotters. Having a hard time seeing what a 3+ lb tripod gains me. I...
Makes sense. I think it’s ingenious! I feel like if I were to mount binoculars on an adapter on top of the Tricer it would create too much of a fulcrum on the MA30 And too easy to get steady. How does that work out?
Cool man! Well, go put it out and put it to use! I see if having a place on an archery backpack hunt. Something that i dont need to shoot off of... but can glass from big binos for some time!
Thanks for sharing. My goal this year is to dial in my optics. My eyes arent what they were even 5 years ago. Im learning that any inefficiencies = critters lost. So not just weight but efficiency, willingness to pack, and what will make me use them more! So im really spending some time, study...
Wow. Pretty Cool. Could you do a quick review? So weight of the tripod alone (Dont care about their dumb head) Is around 1 lb? How tall is the tripod fully setup? The twist lock system looks kinda chincy.... any durability issues?
