I agree except. the flats near Rock Spring the first few days is usually holding some very nice Bucks until the masses come.
Hunted 104 this past weekend. Pony spring on the Second Butte is a waste, their is a dead mare in the upper spring that has contaminated that water. Sadly, her colt has...
Any of you planning on hunting NV Unit 108, I spent the last 4 days Hunting this unit. Horses WILL play a big role in your Hunt. We counted 131 in 1 herd, and 85 in another, with numerous herds of 5 to 20 and they are spread out throughout this entire unit. I spoke with the Ranger yesterday on...
First off, I am a left hand Bow / rifle Shooter, so the only reason I am even looking at these is the rangefinder button is on the left. Secondly, I am not going to pay 2300 for a set of 10x42 Binos. I really wanted the new Vortex Fury, but they are Right Side actuation. Have any of you looked...
I just looked through the Anthlon Ares
I had the chance to look through the Ares 20x60x85 and the '15 Vortex Razor 20x60x85 on Tuesday last week. I have to say, the Anthlon was clearer and focused easier in mid day light. It was as in my opinion well built as the Vortex, and I am a dedicated...
Has anyone here used one of these Spotters, Im looking to buy a new spotter and Swaro is out of the question and I really dont like the remodeled VORTEX Razor. Its really between the Maven and Anthlon for me now. any comments would be apprecieated.
Thank You in advance

I just bought the last InReach Explorer (original version) that Sportsmans Warehouse here in Veags had. I done with the SPOT, battery killer. What do I need to do to have these upgrades. Not carring 2 devices would be nice.
Thank You in advance
If its any help, I have the Option 8 Oval Large Housing with 4 fixed and the movable from S&S Archery on my HOYT Nitrum 34. I just ordered the Option 6 with 2 fixed and the movable again from Rob at S&S Archery for my new OBSESSION ADDICTION OBB. In my opinion I have never been as consistent or...
Im hunting my Hoyt Nitrum 34 this year, but have a BRAND NEW OBSESSION ADDICTION 34 in the box ready to shoot minus the sight. I have shot it 5 times, and it is faster and smoother than my Hoyt, Hands Down in my opinion.... But I am going to use the Nitrum because I haave 400+ shots through it...
Thank You for that. Im in Albuquerque NM all this week for work. I looked up Archery Shops near me. Hit and Miss Archery was like .75 miles away so I just had to go see. What a GREAT SHOP. Range out to 40 yards, 3D targets of every type. Complete Pro Shop, for all 3 of the major players. Really...
Just looked at the GoHunt website, it shows 102 at 47% private with limited access upper elevations by road. Looking on Google Earth, you are 100% correct about water. I guess if you cant find the deer, you could always fish all the lakes around Liberty Peak. Road access to those areas is very...
Therefore Less Hunters in the area. That is my thought on 103. Though Hunt.......yes most definitely. The gentleman above suggested 102, so Ill look at that unit as well. I'm not doing the road springs deal this year.
Drew Unit 101, Archery Antlered Mule Deer.
Thinking about actually hunting unit 103 and leaving up to that unit on Sunday 8/6 by myself and Hunting till the following Sunday if not tagged out sooner., anyone else draw up their they may want to set up a base camp area or team up.

Option 8, 4 fixed and the floater. Only just got it sighted in but so far the best sight I have used yet. I'm making an oval peep to give me a full sight picture. My 3/16ths peep gives my probably 90-95%, but I have to lift my head just a bit to see the bottom of the sight. I'll try a 1/4 as...
I received my Option 8 with 4 fixed and the floater. I literally bolted it on, set the second and 3rd axis, walked out back, fired 1 arrow into my block target using the floating pin ALL the way to the top. At 5yds it was a little right and about 10" high. I raised the sight 4 clicks and moved...
Victory VP1, They are 367gr on my target arrows. I did the math myself as well and 316 did not make sense to me either, but that is what it came up with on 4 shots through. My Hunting VP1's are 435gr and they go through at 293 which again does not add up in the math either. That's why I don't...
Thanks Guys. It has 65# limbs on it now. It does draw real smooth with the #3 cam. I made an appointment last night with the Local HOYT Dealer here in Vegas for Sunday morning so it can be set up correctly either way. The speed doesn't really bother me as with the arrows I'm shooting now through...
I just talked to HOYT. Good People, very good information. They said that no limb replacement would be necessary. They did say the speed difference would be noticeable due to using the "full range" of motion on the #2 vs #3 cam but would not say how much I should expect. I was very impressed...
OOOOPS, OR Archer..... Yes you are correct.
I was trying to be to precise, Either way, If I'm going to switch strings a little more spent for more performance may be a good thing. My only concerns are if the Limbs will be effected or is it really that much of a performance advantage.
