There's no accounting for taste, and as has been famously stated, "no one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public." It should be a real success...
If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand. But we could start with the bronze finish, gold bands on the bolt handle, gold trigger, and gaudy logo on the tang...
"Life is too short to hunt with an ugly rifle." I'm only interested in synthetic/steel these days. Their offering, if not ghetto with gold bling, is pretty darn close to it...
MRC has made very definite "appearance" choices that have nothing to do with performance, so apparently aesthetics mean something to them and their marketing. The problem is their aesthetic choices are ghetto/sophomoric at best. Too bad as it looks like they really have something legit to offer...
I'm 62 - I own two 6.5 CM's, two 270 Win's, and two 308's. If I were 32 I wouldn't change anything.
Any of those would be fine for all the game I'm likely to take til I'm 92 :)
Part of my "I have too many 1P tents sale" - this is an essentially brand new MSR Hubba Hubba 1 Tent. Used only one night. Includes a Tyvek "Footprint."
I particularly like its light weight, non-tapering floor, livable dimensions, and mostly solid interior for fall/winter/hunting.

That's the problem in a nutshell. You don't really understand what epic means.
For an understanding I'd suggest:

I agree, and that's the essence of my post.
As to the built-in rail, I'm not referring to the Weaver/Picatinny, I'm talking about the M-Lok rail under the forearm. A weird choice for a rifle that's being presented as a "classic" wood stocked crf rifle.
Yes, that's me. It's a really under...
To put it simple terms, the 7 PRC is a 7mm RM without a belt. They're basically same/same. Certainly no "game changer" other than it's a 7mm Magnum "done right" from the ground up. The 6.5 PRC is a short action 6.5-06 (or 270 Win if you will).
In an 18" bbl'd suppressed rifle, the 7 PRC is a...
Better yet, go stay at a hotel in the Cheyenne area for a few days and let your wife take it all in. I know me, I'd rather be in Ft. Collins without a doubt. Ditto my wife, and now grown children.
For me, a "proper" rifle action is CRF. That's a personal bias, and in no way reflects the reality that CRF is not necessary for a quality, properly functioning rifle (reference the wonderful Tikka T3). I also love the simple pre-64 M70 trigger. It's a study in "less is more." Most of my rifles...
