    KS Draw 2023

I was successful. First time hunting in KS. So, if I drew for my primary zone, but it shows my secondary zone as well with an A after it, that means I can hunt both, correct? Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk

    Rock climbing harness

Dryad Killdeer is a popular choice. I find it comfy and it is more out of the way than one coming off your back. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk

    Anyone here a Realtor?

Some good advice here already. I've been in real estate for a while, I have been an agent, broker, manager, and now I am on the corporate management side. I will echo a lot of what has already been said. ANSWER YOUR PHONE. It never ceases to amaze me at how many agents don't answer their phone...

    Radiant heat in ceiling?

We were going to have AC installed anyway, so it made sense to do the geo system at the same time since they were going to have to run ductwork either way. I have acreage, so the space wasn't an issue. Cost was $33,000 but there was the 30% tax rebate the year we had it installed, so the...

    Radiant heat in ceiling?

I have radiant heat in my ceilings. Sounds like the same system as you described. It's in-between two layers of sheetrock and each room has its own thermostat. My house is a ranch built in 1970. We actually love the system, it heats really well BUT it's super expensive. We have since retrofitted...

    S&W 629 .44 Mag Hunter

I love firearms, but I've never been much into hunting with a firearm. I always seem to pick up my bow. I think this new toy may change my mind [emoji41]. I got her sighted in today, and I am painting targets out to 100. This is a joy to shoot. I topped it with a Leupold VX3. Nice change of pace...

    WTS Full SKRE Camo Set

SOLD Full SKRE camo set. Worn for a half season, all garments in great condition. No rips, tears, etc. I prefer not to separate. I don't have to sell as it fits well enough to keep if need be, but prefer to sell it all so I can put it towards my next set. I love SKRE stuff, and will buy all of...

    Saddle Hunting Setup

+1 for the Eberlestock X2. Packs the platform and sticks very well. I know you said you didn't want the "big backpacking" style packs, but I also like to use my Kifaru Stryker XL with a Sherman pocket. Sent from my SM-G981V using Tapatalk

Shape Charge or Stryker for saddle hunting

Same. I use the frame and stryker if I need to pack the deer out. Otherwise, I use the SC pretty much exclusively. I also have the Eberlestock X2 and that works well if I am packing a platform in or have my self filming gear. Sent from my SM-G981V using Tapatalk

    Packs for mobile hunting

I have the MR28, X2, Kifaru with stryker and sherman pouch, Kifaru Shape Charge, Badlands Superday, Badlands Monster with the predator pack and a 3V Gear Outlaw Sling Pack. I have tried many others as well. It really depends on the situation for me...am I hunting from my saddle or a pre set...

DIY Saddle rig/setup they'd like to share?

Lots of options for saddles now a days! Tethrd, AeroHunter, H2, Latitude Outdoors, TX5, Cruzr, Treehopper Recon, TrophyLinez JX3. I'm sure I am missing a few but those are most of them. I have owned or at least tried all of them. There are pros and cons of each one. As far as platforms, lots of...

DIY Saddle rig/setup they'd like to share?

I am 5'9 200 and a 34-36 waist. It is very comfortable for me. The amsteel that H2 uses for their triad bridge is thinner and a cheaper off brand amsteel. I had the H2 triad bridge on my old Mantis. It is much easier to unload the prusik's on the method to adjust the bridge. It is harder when...

First Saddle Hunt - Field Notes and Tethrd Product(s) Review

I run a schwabisch hitch with a tender and it gives me the same functionality as a ropeman. I prefer knots and rope over mechanical devices for my lineman's and tether. You can also run a distel hitch. The mantis is not comfortable. The new saddles on the market are head and shoulders above it...

DIY Saddle rig/setup they'd like to share?

You'll be happy with either one. Especially as a new saddle hunter. I've been saddle hunting for around 15 years. It's a great time to be a saddle hunter, so many different options these days. Happy to help. Sent from my SM-G981V using Tapatalk

DIY Saddle rig/setup they'd like to share?

I do think the Cruzr is more comfortable. It's just personal preference though. The Method is also comfortable, in a different way than the Cruzr. The Method has adjustability which is nice, but you have to dial it in each time. The Cruzr is just comfortable as it is. The Method is better for...

DIY Saddle rig/setup they'd like to share?

Check out the Cruzr XC saddle. Probably the most comfortable in my opinion. I also own a Phantom and the Method by Latitude Outdoors. They all have their pros and cons. I would just spend the money and buy a purpose built saddle. If you use a sit drag or something else, you need a RCH anyway...

    Boots boots, what boots

Schnees Beartooth 200g insulation. Not a ton of insulation, but should be enough to carry you until late season. I've found that much more insulation is just too much before it gets cold. Sweaty feet are the worst thing for keeping your feet warm. So while 800g or more is great if you're...

    Insoles .

The problem is everyone's feet are different. Some have high arches, some have low arches, etc. I do believe unless you have a foot disorder, that custom orthotics are probably not worth the high cost. The other issue is that lots of people are buying boots online, without the luxury of trying...

Ultra Light compact chair for public land hunting

I love my Helinox chair. But, not for when I need to get close to game. It is noisy when you move even the slightest bit. Great for open country glassing when noise isn't a factor. It also leans back further than I would like for bow hunting. Sent from my SM-G981V using Tapatalk
