I have the other standard suggestion, the Diamond D Leather Gudes Choice. One for a 686+ and one for SBH. Very happy with them. I've adjusted them to ride below my bino pouch. I put it on before the back an pouch and haven't had any issues with comfort or anything.
I suppressed my 338WM. The Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan has a 20" barrel. Nothing about this is lightweight though. I think its around 12.5 lbs. The older Griffin is about 1.5 lbs of that.
I'm trying to put together some heavier crossbow bolts for my Excalibur. I bought Wyvern's 500gr finished arrows. I also bought Nufletch Ignitors, based on several recommendations. My problem is that the arrow shaft is sealed behind the tip insert (presumably because the the added weights)...
A hunting buddy of mine had finally settled in on buying the Athlon Cronus 20-60x86 spotter after watching the big comparison video, but it was out of stock everywhere. He called them and they confirmed it was discontinued and wouldn't discuss any replacement. That was a while ago. Does anyone...
Just to add to the discussion, The Firearm Blog's article on the Sig states "the XTEN has also been demonstrated to have great reliability with .40S&W ammunition". Sorry not trying to derail away from the XD. It looks like a great option.
Apologies, not trying to recommend anything unsafe. I don't think Sig advertises that, but have seen a few reviews videos in which they run a few magazines without issue. I don't own either of the aforementioned guns yet
I have a different cheap plastic "welder". Basically just a flat shoe soldering iron, but have used it extensively to fix all kinds of things, including the kids' atv fenders. Metal window screen makes a great strengthening material as well.
Anyone know if the springfields will run on 40 S&W stock? The new Sig is able to, from what I've seen. That might open open up some other training options with ammo availability/price.
