3.5” is blade length, that’s what I requested, he offer larger profile and thicker blades also. My next will be one of his Wharncliffe designs, super sexy. I got the blade for this hunting season and it’s done 2 deer ( skinned and quartered) before I even touched up the edge

Good fixed blade knife for backcountry hunts

Another vote for ESEE 4 for a general purpose camp/hunt knife. I have a Bark river gunny in Elmax I did an elk in the field and was still sharp, but it’s not what I’d consider a heavier duty camp knife

    Pics of Custom Knives

This one is from Gollik knives in the Czech Republic. He uses predominantly Elmax and Sleipner steels. He will do a rendering for you to approve before he builds. I think he has a Facebook page, but he is on blade forums. Great product, GREAT pricing for a custom blade

Do Bleat (and other) calls actually work?

Bleat can is my go to. I’ve just never had consistent success rattling or grunting

    Budget rifle scope for beginner

I picked up a cables covenant 7 for $179.put on a light recoiling AR. it’s mil reticle and lots more magnification.. so far it’s been ok for it’s intended purpose. Really no more acceptable warranty due to BPS buy out.. but for the features vs price.. was ok

    Kryptek Vellus jacket… “waterproof”

Exactly, stupid money…. With all that said, would I buy the Vellus again? ( I do have the jacket , pants, and gloves). A resounding YES

    Kryptek Vellus jacket… “waterproof”

I’ve had it seep a little after heavy saturation, mostly with accumulating snow, but I did stay dry and warm

    Kryptek Vellus jacket… “waterproof”

Agree with everything Stingray said. The fleece does saturate, but I’ve stayed dry in a light rain and in snow showers. Mid 40s is very comfortable. Low exertion maybe, meat hauling will definitely cause some sweat

    Insulated jacket options

I have the Kryptek Vellus. It’s fleece outside and insulated. For the temps I hunt in, works great
