I'd never heard of Brent Cobb before I saw him with Whiskey Myers. I like Black Creek, and he actually wrote Bar, Guitar and a Honky Tonk Crowd. Definitely worth the price of admission.
Only two members of the AG and Natural Resources Committee ended up voting to confirm Beaulieu, Kevin Priola and Janice Marchman. That's parts of Weld and Larimer.
I'm not a native. I moved here. I never would've voted for Polis.
I feel like we did what we could. It's kind of frustrating to see people like us trying to do something, groups like HOWL and RMEF doing some heavy lifting, the state GOP voted against them, and I'm sure there's stuff that went...
I started following them on Instagram and Facebook. They put out really good content. It's professional looking and informative. I would definitely recommend to whoever is in charge to work towards building the same type of presence on X (formerly known as Twitter).
I'm not a big social media...
I haven't been to anywhere near even 100 shows. That's first time I'd seen Chris Knight live. I really enjoyed it. I know exactly what you mean, though, I think the smaller venues really work for him.
Few more that I didn't see listed:
Uncle Tupelo
(No Depression/Anodyne both good albums, kind of the start of modern day "alt-country")
Lucero
(Kind of a unique sound, their music is in a lot of Jeff Nichols movies if you're familiar with any of his stuff, lead singer is Ben Nichols, they're...
Best ones from the past year:
Whiskey Myers -- Red Rocks
(Brent Cobb opened, it was in the middle of a rain storm, absolutely wild, best by far)
Them Dirty Roses -- Denver
(Closer to southern rock, small venue)
Chris Knight -- Boulder
(Had always wanted to see him ever since A Pretty Good Guy)
I was disappointed to see some of Kevin Priola's comments. I thought that might be one that could turn in our favor, but he also voted to confirm in committee. Part of his district is in Weld.
Roberts is 8 which is Routt and Moffat. So, we need to hold the line, and pick up five from the front...
Hi. Thanks for sharing. I submitted feedback through the link. I was also wondering if this group (HOWL) has a social media presence. I found @HowlForWildlife on X, however, there has been no activity since October 2023? Thanks again.
