I appreciate all the help! ill start incorporating hiit as well as other cardio. I definitely have some soft sand and areas ii can do a ruck hike. The masks have definitely been debunked but I appreciate every ones input. Mentally im not concerned about it but physically im a bit nervous...
So I live in Florida and plan on doing my first hunt this year. I’m in the gym lifting quite a bit and working on my cardio. Is there anything you guys recommend to help me out seeing as I don’t have access to elevation. Also how early before the hunt do you guys incorporate the pack into hikes...
I work as a mental coach for the mlb and I agree with this. I think you can train yourself to be mentally tough by doing hard shit and pushing through, I think some people are born with it but it can be trained to an extent.
Hey guys, I’m trying to plan my next seasons hunt, which would be my first western hunt, I applied for a Wyoming antelope tag. I work for the mlb and that makes it hard to get time off some times the hunt could fall either World Series/ off season camp time and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to...
So even with draws being harder and harder every year would this still be the go to first western hunt with few points? or is there something else you'd recommend instead?
I am hopefully planning on driving so im not super concerned on space so good advice. just gotta figure out what cold weather gear I wanna invest in, being from florida don't have much of it as it.
So I wasn't able to do last year for my first western hunt due to work. Im headset on this year and started getting some of the gear I needed. My main question im not sure about is clothing, it would most likely be in October, what clothing do you guys recommend, I use mostly sitka stuff and...
I tried on mountain pants (just to get a sense of the knee pads) and traverse. I ended up going with traverse for versatility and I didn’t like the knee pads I’m about 5,9 and they hung low and uncomfortable on me. The traverse are still a little longer than I’d want but I can make due with em...
So I posted in the antelope forum about optics but due to the girlfriend applying for jobs in Colorado my thought process has changed. I’m currently in Florida and will be hunting Osceolas, im also trying to slowly but surly get gear to hunt archery out west before transitioning to waterfowl...
I’m not gunna lie I hope I have to work for it a little! But good to know, the hunting is so different from florida where I’m from it’d be an experience
Yea I’m not looking for a Boone and Crockett buck, I may even just do a doe hunt I just want the experience and the meat. I don’t mind spending some money on binos that’ll work in the future and be a little higher end but If I was going for a spotting scope as well then I’d be concerned about...
Perfect! If I just get binos I’d feel better about getting something much more expensive. And I like the thought of vortex.
What’s the benifit of a spotting scope vs binos is it just magnification?
also does any one have any recommendations on a knife and game bags, I have some stuff I use...
Hey guys,
So brand new to the forum but I’m trying to get into my first western hunt and want to do antelope, I’ve been in contact with game and fish agency’s asking questions and doing a ton of research. I have clothing, boots and a rifle covered but I feel like the most important aspect is...
