You need to shoot them back to back from a seated position or like you would out of your stand to really see if it makes a difference to you. ATA and brace height are just 1 part of it. My Rx1 is a number 2 cam and they are smaller and more aggressive, my Rx7 ultra has Type s turbo cams that are...
If anyone else runs into this situation I figured out what the issue is. Ruger doesn’t manufacture their pic rail to mil spec and the cantilever mount cannot tighten enough to get a full purchase on the taper. Vortex has dealt with this issue before and was aware of it when I called and swapped...
I was setting up my Ruger RPR and I’m using a Vortex CM-534 cantilever mount, I cannot get the mount to tighten completely on the rail. The screws tighten until the wings bottom out and the mount can still move. I tried it on another section of pic rail that I have and it works like every...
I like buying last years flagship used, you’ll end up saving a big chunk and after the first year the seem to depreciate way slower. Leaves a lot more money in your pocket if you decide to sell it a year or 2 later.
I ran Easton Da’torch 6mm arrows with a 6-5mm nock bushing for a season and never had any issues with them. I’ve never noticed a difference with any other arrow as far as wishing I had a nock bushing in the back but I also don’t shoot more than 1 arrow per target face. Your more likely to be...
Looking for some opinions on what mods would be the best money spent on a Ruger precision rifle in 6.5 creedmor. I’d rather buy them once and than buy the same piece 3 times trying to figure out what’s going to work best. Thinking a better brake, grip, and trigger but not sure which are the best...
I’ve used the Hybrid Hunter pro, trinity Hunter pro and Epsilon. All 3 have micro adjust and I’ve never had any reliability issues with any. I currently have a hybrid hunter on my Rx1 and an Epsilon on my Rx7 ultra. Never had one come out of tune or had any issues in all kids of weather from...
Or if you like the longer ATA you can get a custom build from Hoyt. I have an Rx7 Ultra with S type turbo cams pulling 77LB and I’m shooting a 490 grain arrow 287fps with a 28” draw
I’d pick an Axis over the FMJ. They’re super tough and I’ve never had any of the mushrooming / splitting issues I’ve had on both the 4mm and 5mm FMJ’s after a season of heavy use.
Favorite bow is my 77LB Rx7 ultra custom from Hoyt with S type turbo cams on it but I think the best hunting bow I’ve had is my 83LB Rx1. Both have a great draw cycle and hold great but the shorter RX1 is a better tree stand bow.
