    National red flag law

Well, in my learnings from how to compromise, I know the correct response is "I agree with you." :)

    National red flag law

Here's what I've learned reading this forum the last couple days: How to resolve disagreements: Scream and hurl insults while telling the 'other guy' to "stop being emotional and think clearly". How to compromise: Tell the other guy he's an idiot. Clearly YOUR way is the ONLY logical way...

    Favorite gloves?

For early season, I find wearing $12 utility gloves to be perfect - they have everything I need/want in a glove - dexterity, lightweight, incredibly comfortable, touch screen capable, cost effective. Home Depot carries some so you can try before you buy...

Anyone seen this podcast from Jocko?

What an amazing story and life. He's accomplished so much, and yet remains so humble and grounded. Give it a listen. You might find yourself skipping Jocko's comments and just listening to Jonny. He has a way of speaking that sucks you in - the cadence, the careful choice of words, the...

    Lowa Camino vs Crispi Summit

I bought the Summits during Camofire's sale a few months ago. Haven't put a ton of miles on them, but they're quite comfortable out-of-the-box and the sole is flexible. They do have a lot of padding though which adds weight and warmth, plus they're taller than I prefer for a light hiker. For...

Need a new pack please help me kuiu or exo

I truly appreciate the guys who post objective, thoughtful, substantiated information. Regardless of which pack they prefer, their feedback is valuable. On the flip side, biased, non-objective replies hold zero value and often include some barbed comment to make you feel guilty if you don't...

    A 9mm PCC for home defense ?!?!?

All great points. I guess I don't expect an intruder to be standing still, providing a frontal shot at 5 yds so those shots can be placed perfectly center mass. Given that the average homeowner isn't trained nor well-practiced, the chances of him missing are quite high (adrenaline, fear...

    A 9mm PCC for home defense ?!?!?

Noise considerations aside, popping off rifle rounds as you chase an intruder through your house seems like a sure way to harm innocent people and get yourself in a lot of legal trouble.

    Kuiu Pro Bino Harness

I've done the same thing. I wanted to get the Marsupial - it just looks so well made and high quality. The magnetic version is no-go for navigational reasons as you said. But the non-mag version has 2 problems IMO: 1. Bungy runs across the side pocket - will be annoying to get windicator...

    Sitka pant with hip vents

The hip vents look useless with the tiny "holes", but after watching the BlackOvis video, it's clear this line was developed specifically for repelling insects and ticks; which is why the vent holes are so small. Pretty impressive that the thin hoody has a weave so tight it blocks most mosquito...

Recommend me a hunting pants with knee pads.

Be aware that most of these pants have generic inseams so if you're taller or shorter than "average" the knee pad might be too high or too low. Seems to me that for $200+ they could make pants that actually fit correctly, but maybe that's too much to ask.

    Two pants all seasons

I don't have the Renegades, but I have a pair of Revolvr pants and agree Kuhl makes a more comfortable pant because the leg isn't so snug. I just ordered (2) pair of Radikl pants (37% off at backcountry).

    Two pants all seasons

I checked all of the labels on my Prana's and don't see anything specifying the fit. They are model: m4st32116 which seem to be straight leg, but I'm not 100% sure.

Really? They told you that the 1st day?! Seems like a really dumb thing to tell someone..... Congrats on being that .1%.

Stone Glacier Kiowa 3200 Failure on Hunt

I'd guess it's because they're frustrated and just want to vent. Understandable when a 10 cent item fails on a $600 pack and nullifies the whole reason he bought the expensive item vs the cheap option. The OP will probably wish he'd handled it differently later and hopefully some will wish...

    Crispi Idaho II GTX

I wish I'd gotten the Wyoming's instead of the Summit's. Went with the Summits because they were the most popular and had really good reviews. My Salomon's are more comfortable, but lacked wet grip. Hoping the Crispi's solve that issue.

    T.R.U. Ball Abyss X-Tension Flex

Yeah, I haven't seen any hinge style or dual-function releases that can be clipped-on. For me, that option has become a requirement for my hunting release. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on the Abyss... Ordered an HBC after nixing the Abyss. The Scott Ascent and Fulkrum Flex were strong...

    T.R.U. Ball Abyss X-Tension Flex

After thinking about this more, I realized that I will never hunt with a release that can't be clipped to the D-loop. I always clip it on in those closing minutes/yards and want my hand free for using the RF or binos. For me, that means there is no reason to buy a dual-function release...
